Hello everyone 👋,

Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊, the very last Tuesday of March. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going. The doctor's strike entered day 13 as govt and unions continued their talks.
Globally another horrendous day in Gaza as Israel took no notice of yesterday's UNSC legally binding resolution. The airstrikes kept going in the south and central regions of Gaza🙀. 107 Palestinians killed in 24 hours😿.
The death toll since October 7 stands at 32,414 dead😭.
Also trending, Israel has announced that they killed Hamas deputy military commander Marwan Issa in an airstrike on March 11th🙀. I wonder what took them so long to announce it.
In Europe, Geneva trending as UN special rapporteur, Francesca Albanese, presented a report finding reasonable grounds that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza🙀. The nature of assault reveals intent to physically destroy Palestinians as a group. Further stating that countries should impose sanctions on Israel and an arms embargo.
Trending in UK, London high court adjourned appeal decision in the Julian Assange extradition case. The WikiLeaks founder is wanted in the US for leaking confidential govt documents🙀.
Across the pond in the US, Baltimore bridge collapsed after being hit by a cargo ship in the early hours of Tuesday. Several cars plunged into the river below😿. Emergency responders were at the scene searching for six people who are still missing.
Finally, Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant, has met US defence secretary Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon. Lloyd reiterated that safety of civilians in Rafa was top priority even as Israel is determined to carry out a ground invasion.
