Hello everyone 👋,

Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's our furry friends' day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain and also the third week of the year is gone. Hopefully you are doing well with your new year's resolutions😹. Anyway, it's been a great day and as it fades away, I am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories that made headlines. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the shopping centre for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russia launched an offensive in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, where fighting intensified this week.
In the middle east, large protests in Israel as thousands rallied against the right wing government of Benjamin Netanyahu. He has plans to reform the judiciary and reduce powers of the supreme court 🙀.
Close by in Afghanistan, Deputy UN secretary general, Amina Mohamed wrapped up her trip to the country by urging the Taliban not to banish women from public life. The Taliban have recently banned women from schools and jobs🙀. Though they have partially let women work in healthcare and relief work. Hopefully they will see the light soon😹
Finally, across the pond in Peru, the ongoing protests have led to the indefinite closure of tourist attraction - Macchu Picchu🙀. Leaving some tourists stranded in that area. Lets hope the political turmoil being witnessed will soon be resolved.
