Don't Follow The Crowd. Chart Your Own Path
It's easy to be influenced by the opinions of others. We all are. We're social animals, and we like to feel like we're part of a group. That's why so many people follow the crowd because it seems safer than venturing off on your own.
In addition, a lot of people decide to go the path of least resistance. They don't want to swim upstream, so they go with the flow and follow the crowd. This way, it seems like their life is easier than it could be because they don't challenge themselves.
It is also said that there is safety in numbers. That could be another reason why a lot of people follow the crowd when it comes to deciding their life's direction. We want to take the safe path, and the path that has more people seems to be the safer one to take.
But if you want to be successful in your life, you should chart your own path rather than just blindly following the crowd. Here are some reasons why you should do so:
You need to listen to your own heart's desire and learn to ignore the so-called advice from family, friends and society in general. You will never be happy if you don't listen to yourself.
We all have our own ideas of what success is and how we want to achieve it. So, don't let anyone else define your success but yourself.
Remember that we have only one life and life is short. So decide what you want from your life and chart your own path to achieve it.

Very true to follow where you want to go, that way you never end up at the end thinking that awful "What If?"
Thank you @joanstewart for your comments. Sometimes it is hard to chart our own path, but we need to believe in ourselves and our gut feelings.
Oh the gut feeling, sometimes I really wish I had! Nonetheless we survive, even learn then pass the information on to others not to repeat where we went wrong.
Yay! 🤗

The comment section on this platform often does not show this. Nor the real life. Many people live alone. Me too.
Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
The problem with the group is that it expects its members to confirm, that's why members try to fit in and as a result may lose some of their individuality. Thank you @xplosive for dropping by.
Well I for one have never been a crowd follower, except when it relates to my football team.
Yes we should make our own path, it is fun.
That is good to know. May the path that you choose bring you success and happiness.
I appreciate that, thank you and may your chosen path be fortuitous and rewarding!
So truly said, we must always do what we want and want to do. We must not do anything just for the sake that others are doing or saying it. We must be clear with what we want and create our destiny ourselves! :)
Very true we need to be masters of our destiny.
Good post, full of good advice. It is also important to remember though, that some people WANT to be part of the crowd. Not everyone finds joy in individuality.
That is very true, it depends on the person concerned. But to be accepted as part of the group, you need to conform to the group.
