A city in Portugal that impressed me a lot!

In October I made a small trip of a few days to Portugal this time I did not choose the classic holiday in the most famous tourist cities of Portugal but I went north and went to Viana do castelo, a beautiful town on the green cost.

The first thing I saw, and that struck me most of all, was the Praca da Republica the beating heart of Viana do castelo characterized by these historic buildings but above all by the ancient and cobbled streets.

I think that in these cities you can breathe a different air from Lisbon But you enter more in a city made of fishermen where fishing was the first industry of this place, and even had a hospital ship to rescue their fleet.

I was also very impressed by the Sè cathedral in Gothic style, well maintained and which I was able to visit very quickly inside, a real pearl to visit absolutely !!

I didn't think but inside the city I found a beautiful park where I could rest and eat something that I had brought with me.

Then in the afternoon I went to see other interesting points of the city such as the other church which unfortunately I found closed and I could not visit it internally.

I am only sorry that the time was short and I could not visit the sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which is located in the Monte di Santa Luzia, but which I saw practically from a distance and I am also sorry for not being able to taste the typical dish that is the strong point of this small town, the cod!

However, I was struck by the extraordinary beauty of this place which is almost unknown to foreign tourists and which in any case has so much to offer also because it is really difficult to turn it in a single day, for example, all the wide sandy beaches of Praia do Cabedelo, a place for surf lovers.
