I was wrong to move too quick

I was wrong to move too quick
love needs a slow pace to mature
I was wrong to act so immature
love needs an act that is too sweet
I was wrong to move too quick
love needs an imbalance in balance
I was wrong to act so callous
the word "love" means compassion
two mature beings in passion
the word "love" means friendship
because it goes through hardship
the word "love" means not getting jealous
because it is not an act of malice
something that's not heavy on your heart
something that's not explained by a chart
Author note:
The speaker of this poem tries to explain to herself what has gone wrong and what mistakes led to the departure of her lover and what is the true meaning of love for her. By explaining the key points she has understood from the world around her, she comes to the realization that love doesn't have a statistical meaning waiting to be measured or explained. It is something precious that only the heart knows its secrets, and it happens without any pre-news about its coming to surprise you, and to guide you towards your destiny.
