Greek islands are one of my favorite destinations for summer vacations. In the past few years, my family and I, have visited many islands and my friends often ask me for advice. Whenever I say that the island that impressed me the most with its tradition and pristine atmosphere, was Chios, the reaction is always Chi….what?? The island lies in the northeastern part of the Aegean Sea, looking towards the coast of Turkey. It is located between the islands of Lesbos and Samos, just 6 km from the Turkish coast.

Saturday, as always, is a day off for me. So I have the opportunity to go on a little trip. This time my road lies to the northeast of Italy. There, among the mountain ranges of the Alps, in the small town of Udine. From Treviso to Udine I traveled by train for an hour and a half. Outside the window, I saw the picturesque landscapes of the Dolomites. Although it is spring, March is over and the temperature on the thermometer reaches 16 degrees, the mountains are still covered with snow. The peaks sparkle in the sun with their white hats.
