Introduction

Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll be presenting today's edition of #TravelDigest. Another tough day of curation for me! There are a lot of good entries that I was forced to trim and choose which posts are to be included in this digest. Anyway, in our featured posts, we have a mountain in Vietnam, another mountain in the Philippines, and a coastal town in Croatia. Enjoy and don't forget to have a blast this weekend!

🥇 Conquer the top of Bang Am mountain - discover dreamy and mysterious nature! by @hyhy93

Bang Am is a limestone mountain range with an altitude of about 850m above sea level. The geographical location is on the northern edge of Huu Nien mountain. This land belongs to Dai Hong commune, Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province, and is only about 40km from the center of Da Nang city. Bang Am Peak also has many other names such as Am Thong, or Tung Son, because in the past, this place planted a lot of pine trees. However, due to the destruction of the war, and later people began to reclaim it, the pine trees on the mountain seem to have disappeared. On the mountain, there is a small temple of the hermit Tung Son. Therefore, the locals later combined these two characteristics to name Bang Am for simplicity, easy to remember and associated with the legend of this mysterious land.

Our guide told us to be careful with our steps and to hold on to the rocks. He told us not to look down but I couldn't help it. I looked down and I saw how far I'd fall if I took the wrong step. But I wasn't afraid. I felt alive up in that mountain while this stranger was taking photos of me.

🥉 Magnificent Rovinj, Croatia - remembering the days of freedom by @wanderingkat

Early in the mornings, my dad would very specifically organise our day, including lunches, what to bring, what time to leave to get the best spot on the beach (it's not like Australia where you can choose and find your space wherever), triple check we really packed everything, and again make sure we really didn't forget something :D Funny guy, my dad - love him and his need to take care of all the things and make us feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
