Travel Digest #1378
Introduction
Hi everyone @LivingUKTaiwan here with another amazing issue of the #TravelDigest. It's great to see more new users in the haveyoubeenhere and pinmapple community and the diversity of posts from around the world. Today, our Top 3 posts will visit two amazing islands. One is 1500km away from Australia and is nearly as close to New Zealand as it is to Australia. And the other is a 10 square km volcanic island in Vietnam. Our third Top 3 pinmapple post will visit a beautiful cemetery in Romania. Enjoy!
All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @pinmapple, @blocktrades, @theycallmedan and the curation trail. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.
Our winners today 🍍
🥇 Crystal Rock Pool Norfolk Island. by @vcclothing
Norfolk Island is 1500km East of Brisbane Australia and is part of the Queensland government. Which seems crazy I know as the island is located 1400km above New Zealand. It was first a penal colony for the British some 200 years ago but the history is a whole another story that I will save for later blogs. This blog however is about the Crystal rock pool which is located on the south west part of the island. And my God is the place just bliss!"

🥈 Ly Son Island - Welcome To My Hometown 😍 by @quyetien
"Looking down from the top of the mountain, you can see a panoramic view of Ly Son island sparkling with lights. The sunset gradually fades out the last rays of light to make room for electric lights. Maybe after a day of traveling, what we need is simply to sit back and watch the surroundings, listen to the sound of the waves."

🥉 The Merry Cemetery, the most visited cemetery in Romania🪦 by @triplug
"Stan Ioan Pătraș was not only the crafter of the village, but also the one who taught people to look at death with different eyes. This has become a tradition in Săpânța, and the inhabitants say that it will remain so forever. The house of crafter Stan Ioan Pătraș is today a museum. Here is also the workshop in which the crosses from the Merry Cemetery are worked and restored. It takes two to three weeks to make a cross."
