Happy 16th Hive Power Up Day!

It's my first power up for 2024 and my 16th Hive power up day since I started staking and joined Hive in 2022 with my goals in the blockchain. Ah! The journey was roughly smooth but I am always happy that I have achieved my goal of having the Dolphin status since November 2023.

New year, new goals, and new challenges, but I am always hoping for a more prosperous 2024. Happy New Year!

At the moment of writing, I am here at a resort in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. The weather was so fine and I enjoyed strolling around the shore with white sand, surrounded by evergreen mangroves. It was a great day to see the sky with its vibrant hues and seemed so perfect spot for relaxation although it was a low tide.

And here I am with my casual wear in a pink floral dress, shades, and slippers as I am surrounded by the scenic view of a beautiful resort in Laguindingan. It has been one of my bucket lists but I got no chance of going here due to being always fully booked. Finally, my feet led me here and I got a selfie at the shore with my own shadow following me.

There is no signal and mobile connection at the moment so I got unplugged for a while. But I have captured many priceless moments as I am enjoying the simple pleasures in life. I tried writing at the moment, while I was lying in the white sand. The cool breeze from the sea motivated me to put my thoughts into writing.

Despite being busy in the real world, I always keep things in balance as I also want to be active on the chain. I must say that time management is the key. I remember when I entered Hive, I had no goals and enjoyed collecting the tokens. But as time passed by, I was inspired by many people who influenced me to reach my goals too.

One thing I realized with my Hive journey is that staying here is not all about the token, but staying for the community with the great opportunity of having real freedom. And I have written my name on the sand with hopes of achieving my goals.

As to my Hive goals, I hope I can achieve the Yearly Author too. For the previous months, I have been happy to achieve the weekly and monthly author consistently. Since I joined in the middle of the year 2022 it was not possible to attain the yearly author badge. So now, is the best time to get it although I feel that it would be hard since I am also working in the real world. But let us see if I could achieve it.

Aside the the weekly, monthly, and yearly, author badges, I wish to complete my Hive Power Up Month for 2024 with the 12 Badges as well as the 12 Badges for Hive Power Up Day. Today, I helped a newbie and it always feels great to help others grow through the Power Up Helper I chose @melcakes. And I also hope of helping newbies every month through staking some hive power for them.

I have shared in my previous Hive Power Up post that I have become a dolphin after a year of staying in Hive. I have been through ups and downs but I am always happy that my wish came true. From a wee fish, finally, I am now a Dolphin!

Now, after reaching the hive power of a Dolphin, my new goal in the Hive is to reach 10,000 Hive Power before 2024 ends. For now, I have more than 6,000 Hive Powers, and portions of my Hive powers were delegated to an author account, some community accounts, and several curation trails.

Little by little I am achieving my goals in Hive. What matters is being consistent no matter how slow I am making it each day. And I hope to stay active in the Hive blockchain with the real freedom that I have always wanted. Happy Hive Power Up Day to one and all!
