Leaf Wrap Recipe

(Edited)

Hello everyone

Today I will give you a recipe for a dish that I love to eat.
I've been on this platform for three months and realized that I haven't given the recipe for this dish yet. I don't know how it is that I haven't given the recipe for a dish I love so much yet.
Our food is stuffed leaves.
I love wrapping leaves. I even enjoy eating with my hands like cookies while watching movies.

My daughters love it very much. I do it often for them too. The only problem is that it takes a little time to prepare this dish.
I usually prepare the wraps the night before and bake the next day. This time I cooked a little less than usual. In this way, I had time to prepare and cook on the same day.

If you haven't eaten this dish before, you've lost a lot.

We offered wraps to a family who moved to Turkey from America. They liked it very much and said that they had never eaten before. I was so surprised.

Now, let me give you the recipe for the dish that I love to eat.
You can prepare the stuffing of the leaf wrap in different ways. Now I will tell you my own recipe.

Rose Leaf Recipe

Necessary materials

  • 1 glass of rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 cooking oil tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper paste
  • A pinch of parsley
  • black pepper, salt
  • half a lemon
  • olive oil
  • vine leaves

We prepare the inside of our leaf wrap. For this, we chop and roast our onions first.

After roasting the onions, we add tomato paste. We are also cooking tomato paste for a while. We add the spices and salt. We continue to cook all the food. Finally, we turn off the stove and add the parsley and mix. Now, the inside of your grape leaves is ready

(Today has been a day for me when I chopped lots of onions. My eyes still hurt. Fortunately, the taste of the dish is worth it.)

If your vine leaves are fresh, you should boil them in boiling water for a while. Since I use pickled vine leaves, I never boil them. I just soaked it the night before. Because I want to prevent it from being too salty.

Now we are in the most important part of making stuffed leaves. Spread your leaf on a flat surface. Put some of the stuffing we have prepared on it. Wrap the vine leaf tightly. In this way, wrap all the leaves.

Spread a few leaves on the base of the pot in which we will cook the leaf wrap we have prepared. Thus, we will prevent the leaf wrappers that we will place on the lowest floor from burning. Then take turns placing the leaves in the pot. I suggest you choose a deep saucepan.

Then add two tea glasses of warm water to our meal. Put a few slices of lemon. Cover the leaves with a plate so that the leaves do not come apart. First light the stove to high heat. When the water of the food begins to boil, turn down the heat. Cook until all the water has evaporated. Let the wraps rest for at least an hour.
Now our food is ready to be served.

Here is my recipe for my meal.
It takes a while to do. If you are a beginner, you may find it difficult to wrap the leaves at first. Don't worry, you'll get used to it over time.
This dish is really delicious. You should definitely try this recipe.

After I prepared my meal, I offered it to my neighbor. They also said that they liked it very much.

Thank you for taking your precious time to read my post.

Ooooh that's a great question. In my country, this dish is served with baklava on special occasions. And the two of them suit each other very well.
