Coconut Cookies Recipe

Hello, dear friends.

After a long break, I made dessert again. I will share with you the recipe of this beautiful dessert.

I have not consumed industrial sugar for about 8 months. That's why I haven't been making dessert for a long time. However, my dear neighbor had a special day. I prepared this dessert for him.
My neighbor's only daughter is getting married and I prepared this dessert for the girl-requesting ceremony.
Later, I will prepare an article explaining the preparations for the requesting ceremony.

Our dessert is made in three stages.

We prepare the cookie dough, sweet sherbet and filling separately. It takes a while to prepare but its flavor is really worth the effort.

Material list
For the dough
-125 grams of margarine
-1 teacup of oil
-1 tea glass of granulated sugar
-3 tablespoons of cocoa
-1 egg
-1 packet of baking powder
-1 packet of vanilla

  • 2 - 2.5 glasses of flour

For internal mortar
-1 egg white
-1 tea glass of powdered sugar
-2 tea glasses of coconut

For the sherbet
-1 tea glass of granulated sugar

  • 1 tea glass of water

If you wish, you can use coconut to decorate it.

First, we prepare our inner mortar. We put the egg white, coconut and powdered sugar in a bowl and knead for a while.
After kneading is done, we rest our inner mortar.

We can start preparing the cookie dough.

We put margarine, an egg and oil in the dough kneading bowl. Then we add sugar and cocoa to it. We mix it for a while.
We add flour, baking powder and vanilla. we knead well. We need to get a soft dough. The key to making our cookies good is a soft dough.

We cut walnut-sized pieces from the cookie dough. We make it nested. We open it and fill it with the filling that we have prepared. We place it on a baking tray on which we spread greaseproof paper.

We bake in a preheated 175 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. When our cookies start to crack, our cookies are ready.

While our cookies are baked in the oven, we can prepare the sherbet of the dessert.
We add water and sugar in a small baking dish. We continue to cook until our sugar melts. We never boil the sherbet.

As the cookies come out of the oven, we put them in the warm syrup while they are still hot. After 5 - 6 seconds, we take the cookies out of the syrup.
You have to make sure that the cookie is all wet with syrup.
We decorate the cookies with coconut on the serving plate.

If you wish, you can also offer ice cream. Ice cream really goes well with desserts with syrup.

I've had this cookie several times before. My sister had done it. I tried it myself for the first time and I have to admit that mine turned out better.

It is now one of the recipes that I will make on special occasions.
My daughters birthday party is in a month. I plan to prepare this dessert then.

Although I liked this dessert, I could only eat one because I tried to stay away from industrial sugar.
