PHOTOGRAPHY | Alone Ropalidia
Hello friends of the Fascinating Insects Community, may you always be healthy and happy...
My post today is a wasp that I found in my farming area. This wasp flew by itself and I didn't see any other wasps around. After a while I followed the direction of the flight, I finally got a chance to take some pictures.
Physically, this insect, which is commonly called a paper wasp, is dominated by a reddish black color. In some parts of the body there is also a yellow color, such as on the tail and back. And this wasp has a slim waist.
From the existing literature, this wasp has the Latin name Ropalidia which belongs to the large genus of eusocial paper wasps of the Ropalidini tribe. This wasp has a distribution ranging from Afrotropical, Indomalayan and Australasian source.
Here are some pictures I share with our community. Hope it is useful...
Thank you for your support...
Best Regard,
