Our Vacant Lot in Naawan, Misamis Oriental

Yesterday, I decided to take a visit on our Vacant lot in Naawan, Misamis Oriental. Its been many years when I did not take a visit here in the place. This is owned by my Father and it is located at Don Pedro Naawan, Misamis Oriental. It takes a few minutes of travel from Barangay Poblacion to Sitio Don Pedro Naawan. In this place, there are lots of fruit trees just like coconuts, Santol, Jackfruits and many kinds of fruits.

This is our lot, where many manggo trees can be seen. We love to plant more manggo trees because this is one of the most highly demand here in our place. Every Month of September, their are people who will came here to to spraying our trees to bare more fruits. After that, they also covered with paper when the small fruit will come out and when it is time to harvest, they are the one who also brought and transport to other place for exportation.

We plan to put or built waitingshed here so that we can be abled to rest here when we take a visit in this areas. This is perfect spot for building our waitingshed and all of our Family member agreed also. There are lots of many different kinds of hard trees in here and also dwarf coconut trees and dwarf bananas. All of the plants in here was given by one of the Agency about agricultural activities.

We are so very thankful about their help and the seedlings we received comes from their agency.

One of the hardest tree we can found in here is this tree called, Native Lanhan Tugas. This is perfect for Furniture and other kinds of house porpuses. This kind of tree is very expensive and it can only found in the mountainous areas. Its not easy to cut this tree because it needs to comply cutting permit in the Barangay. We decided to plant more of this trees so that the place will maintain its beauty and relaxing areas. Added to that, the soil will still fertile and avoid of soil erosions.

Now, we planted almost 200 tugas trees and we are very happy and proud to have this kind of trees. It is good to have a place full of trees and other kinds of plants so that it can maintain the beauty of the area.

Naawan Misamis Oriental was already known as the producer of Manggo fruits. It will export or transport to other places. This is their primary source of income including us. We planted 340 manggo trees and we only cut or marcot the tree so that we can climb easily.

Next time when we visit our lot, we will clean the areas and remove the uneccessary and harmful plants. We will add to plant more and more coconut trees and bananas, it is perfect here in this place.

During our visitations and exploring the place, I was very surprised of what I seen. One of our banana plant bare more fruits and it was already ripe. We hurriedly cut it and we brought the fruits home. We are so very happy because our fruit of labor was already gain a good results. That is why we decided to plant more bananas here and when the time comes for harvesting, we sell it to the supermarket.

It was a wonderful day yesterday during our travel and I really realized that if we keep ourselves busy and productive anytime, we can surely harvested a good and fruitful result.
