Being a beach employee is beautiful only in TV shows. Have you seen Rescuers Malibu? In fact, all the work is difficult and responsible.

I was a lifeguard one summer as a teenager, so yes! I agree with you. We took it seriously, but with the alcohol, sharks, and all those people? No thank you! Those shows are so phony, and they garnered a lot of attention. It is not at all as glamorous as they show it to be.

Rescuers Malibu? I'm pretty sure I didn't want to torture myself watching those perfect bodies. :))
