Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 92
Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
Welcome to the 92nd round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)
I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.
The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.
The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)
Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.
I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:
Only one entry (photo) per person per round.
The photo must be yours and not older than one week.
Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.
You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.
Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.
I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)
To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:
As I mentioned in my yesterday´s post, I have been uncomfortably busy lately and the lack of time is also the main reason why I haven´t been out there in nature as often as I want so unfortunately, I cannot offer anything fancy today, I am sorry. Just a random shot of the landscape of the Jordan Park taken from a little viewpoint in the western section of the park. The deciduous trees are almost completely barren by now, the vivid autumn colors are gone, the weather is mostly cloudy, foggy and cold. Honestly, I am not a big fan of late autumn. I wonder when we will get the first snow this year... Photo taken here in Krakow, Poland earlier today.
In the last round, we had 5 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

Hi @phortun after several weeks without joining your initiatives today I join this one. I love sunsets, and I am fortunate to live in a city that at sunset day is a spectacle in the sky, This picture was taken in the city of Barquisimeto in Venezuela this past Tuesday.

This is a photo I took on Tuesday morning in Danang, Vietnam, while rowing Sup on the way back to the beach. When I approached him, I spoke with him and inquired about the catch. He stated he caught blue crabs but only got a few because the water was cloudy, and November is not their season. What struck me the most, however, was that he appeared to be really cheerful, rather than depressed. He claimed that despite his age, God had blessed him with good health, and that it was enjoyable to labor at sea every day. When I asked for permission to take a memento sefile photo, he eagerly posed. However, I chose a photograph of his beauty when he was at work.

Was another beautiful blue sky day in Byron Bay, Australia yesterday and on my walk along Byron Bay beach yesterday evening I was once again greeted by our friendly Byron Bay, Pelicans who are always hanging around our beaches greeting us at sunrise and saying good-bye to us at sunsets like this particular evening, till tomorrow when we meet again, friendly Pelicans have a safe flight home guys.
Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)
I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

It is. It's like those photos you use for wallpaper in your phone or a painting
This is an excellent initiative. I will prepare my next participation.
Awesome! I will be looking forward to it :)
That park still looks like a nice place to go for a run or bike ride, even in the late autumn. Some great photos in this post, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you :) Yeah, the park is very popular with joggers, bikers, outdoor gym enthusiasts etc :) It´s quite big and there are many different trails to follow... Thanks for stopping by!
Submitting only photo enough or there should be context, too?
One fresh photo and a bit of text is fine ;) At least where and when you took the photo...

Have you seen a fresh white and blue sky today?
I stepped out to take this shot at my backyard yesterday. Beautiful nature all around us.
Location: FCT Abuja, Nigeria.
Enjoy and do have a great weekend.
Interesting shot, thanks for your entry :) Can you just add the location please? At least a country or region...
Oh! I forgot, done.
You have a beautiful shot and I love the blue sky :) I envy you since the sky here is gray at the moment.
Thanks for your kind words.
Last Thursday we found ourselves in Ballina, on the North Coast of NSW this is not a huge town with only a population of just over 26,000 people, it's a very charming town known for it's beautiful beaches and seafood. The drive to Ballina town from my town of Byron Bay is about 35km and worth going there just for their seafood we ended up eating the best fish and prawns by the Burns Point Ferry Pier, by the time we had immensely enjoyed our late afternoon seafood lunch we took a walk along the Burns Point Ferry Pier, it was coming on to sunset and I wanted to catch Ballina town sunset by the pier, it looked like a amazing spot for a sunset with the bleached trees, dead tree in the background, the rocks from the pier and hopefully some reflections would come into the picture, as the sun starting to go down we were sitting on the rocks having a chat and waiting for mother nature to put on another spectacular show for us not long after the curtains opened nature was unfolding before us it was the perfect sky with the right formations of clouds as the sun was slowly fallen further deeper into the horizon it all came in sequence we had the perfect scenery to frame this superb sunset.
Wow. Thanks for sharing this stunning scenery with us and adding all the background info about this precious moment :) Great entry.
Thank you @phortun was the perfect day and evening
Awww John !!! A truly beautiful setting. 🤩
Thank you my dear friend @trangbaby this is what you can enjoy when to get to Oz 😊
Congrats all. I adore all of the photos above. Thanks for sharing and Thanks Phortun for hosting such a great contest!
Then I am glad to share with you this moment - sunset on the ancient lake. In my city, from October to January is usually very cold, humid and it must be the winter but this year it is quietly different. There are sometimes warm sunny days. As a person who is afraid of cold weather, sunlights are actually a great source of power for me. So I never can't take my eyes off them and ignore the sunny moments. Sunshine motivates me to go out and expose my skin to warm vibes. I love that! And this is the picture that I captured on Saturday while driving along the old lake. I hope this moment can brings you a bit of joy and warmness.
20th November, 2021 - Tịnh Tâm lake, Huế city, Vietnam.
Thank you very much for this beautiful picture and the interesting write up. Can you just add the location please? :)
You're welcome. I've just added it in my comment ^^. Thanks Phortun!
Beautiful sunset em, and I'm glad you got out to enjoy it :)
Thanks sis. 😊 You're always very kind to me 😍🥰
After a long stretch of constant rain and grey skies, I feel so happy to enjoy the Sun again. I took advantage of the rare sunny days here to hang out a lot before driving up to Da Nang's Son Tra Peninsula in the late afternoon on Sunday to watch the sunset. 🌞🙂☀️
Beautiful scenery, thank you for sharing this precious moment with us Trang :)
