Last year I had the great opportunity to make a Minecraft server for the Hive Gaming community. I still have very fond memories of that server, many put a lot of effort into creating a beautiful village, amazing castles, skyscraper sized waterfalls and many more. While that server was very good, it was a pretty simple experience, it was as Vanilla as possible and that made some people bored. I personally like Minecraft without so many additions, but there are those who are a bit more demanding when it comes to playing it.

The server lasted a month open and very few took advantage of it until the last day. I appreciate those who made the effort and knew how to take advantage of it until the end. After that server, I always wanted to make another server, but this time with more additions, without overloading it with mods or other things. Well, that day has come. A few days ago playing and talking with @ilazramusic was that my inspiration came back. Basically he mentioned some things I always wanted to do, but didn't know if anyone else would like it. With his words it was enough to pay a Host and get to work.

I'm not going to kid you, I never thought making a slightly more elaborate Minecraft server would require so much work. I thank @therealflaws and @ikasumanera who have helped me a lot and have accompanied me late at night just to make a good server. Obviously it would be a test server and would be expanded depending on the amount of people who decide to play on it. So far there is space for 20 players, space that can be expanded to even 50 players. It would be awesome to have 50 Hive users playing, but that would take time.

Lately my internet has been shitty and things have been a bit complicated for me, but that won't stop me from playing in the nights together with you guys(that can be misunderstood). At first I had a lot of errors when trying to add plugins, I was one point away from exploding and throwing everything to shit, the server was crashing over and over again, but so far everything seems to be going great. I'm such a noob with these things that it even seemed impossible, but it's not that complicated when you have support and brainstorming abound. Without further ado, I present HiveLand.

HIVELAND

The concept of HiveLand is simple. A server that will be open 24/7 for all those who want to play and hang out. If you are a Hive user, you can invite your friends even if they don't know about this amazing social network. The idea is that we will be more people, we will even soon work on creating mini-games to reward the winners of these, either with Hive or Hbd, and help them to get started in Hive if they are interested.

The main game mode would be our wonderful Survival. Where anything can happen, including great pvp battles. But be careful, you don't want to have enemies here in Hive. Joke.

The server will feature several plugins and commands, that might be a headache for you guys, but don't worry. @therealflaws will be in charge of making you a guide about these simple commands, things related to the game economy, setting up home, getting jobs and more. Soon he will be uploading a post for you to fully start your adventure. The server can host up to 3 accounts per IP, so don't worry if you have siblings or a friend playing from home, everyone will be able to play, even if you don't have the original Minecraft.

El año pasado tuve la gran oportunidad de hacer un servidor de Minecraft para la comunidad de Hive Gaming. Aún tengo muy buenos recuerdos de ese servidor, muchos se esforzaron en crear una hermosa villa, castillos increíbles, cascadas del tamaño de un rascacielos y muchas cosas más. Si bien ese servidor fue muy bueno, era una experiencia bastante simple, era lo más Vanilla posible y eso hizo que algunos se aburrieran. A mi personalmente me gusta el Minecraft sin tantos añadidos, pero hay quienes son un poco más exigentes a la hora de jugarlo.

El servidor duró un mes abierto y muy pocos lo aprovecharon hasta el último día. Aprecio a quienes se esforzaron y lo supieron aprovechar hasta el final. Después de ese servidor, siempre quise volver a hacer otro servidor, pero esta vez con más añadidos, todo eso sin sobrecargarlo de mods u otras cosas. Pues ese día ha llegado. Hace unos días jugando y hablando con @ilazramusic fue que mi inspiración volvió. Básicamente él mencionó algunas cosas que siempre quise hacer, pero no sabía si a alguien más le gustaría. Con sus palabras bastó para pagar un Host y ponerme manos a la obra.

No los voy a engañar, nunca creí que hacer un servidor un poco más elaborado en Minecraft requería de tanto trabajo. Le doy gracias a @therealflaws y a @ikasumanera quienes me han ayudado bastante y me han acompañado a altas horas de la noche solo para hacer un buen servidor. Obviamente sería un servidor de prueba y se ampliaría dependiendo de la cantidad de gente que decida jugar en él. Hasta ahora hay espacio para 20 jugadores, espacio que se puede ampliar incluso a 50 jugadores. Sería increíble tener a 50 usuarios de Hive jugando, pero eso llevaría tiempo.

Últimamente mi internet ha sido una mierda y las cosas se me han complicado un poco, pero eso no evitará que juegue por las noches junto a ustedes(eso puede malinterpretarse). Al principio tuve muchos errores al intentar añadir plugins, estuve a un punto de explotar y tirar todo a la mierda, el servidor crasheaba una y otra vez, pero hasta ahora parece que todo va de maravilla. Soy tan noob con estas cosas que incluso parecía imposible, pero no es tan complicado cuando tienes apoyo y las lluvias de ideas abundan. Sin más, les presento HiveLand.

El concepto de HiveLand es simple. Un servidor que estará abierto 24/7 para todos aquellos que quieran jugar y pasar el rato. Si eres un usuario de Hive, puedes invitar a tus amigos aunque ellos no conozcan acerca de esta increíble red social. La idea es que seamos más personas, incluso pronto trabajaremos en crear minijuegos para recompensar a los ganadores de estos, ya sea con Hive o Hbd, y se les ayudaría a iniciarse en Hive de estar interesados.

El modo de juego principal sería nuestro maravilloso Survival. En donde todo puede pasar, incluyendo grandes batallas de pvp. Pero cuidado, no quieres tener enemigos aquí en Hive. Broma.

El servidor contará con varios plugins y comandos, eso puede ser un dolor de cabeza para ustedes, pero no se preocupen. @therealflaws se encargará de hacerles una guía acerca de estos comandos sencillos, cosas relacionadas a la economía del juego, establecer hogar, conseguir trabajos y más. Pronto estará subiendo un post para que inicies completamente tu aventura. El servidor puede alojar hasta 3 cuentas por IP, así que no te preocupes si tienes hermanos o un amigo que juega desde tu casa, todos podrán jugar, incluso si no tienes el Minecraft original.
