A happy and prosperous new month to you and all of my colleagues in the @needleworkmonday community, it is another blissful new week for us in this community to share our ideas, tips, patterns, and shortcuts, the beautiful day comes with beautifully handmade, I always feel so excited because we will be feeding our eyes with beauty, and I'm here today to share with you all on the steps I carried in making this beautiful wrapped crop top and pencil skirt for my best client.

A client who always patronized me and kept on giving me more knowledge on sewing always gave me work that made me feel the impact of sewing, she called me last week Thursday telling me that she had urgent work for me, I wanted to reject it because I know how is style always makes me feel relaxed, well, I know I always feel happy when I ever I made a dress for her and she will feel disappointed if I reject her work, I accepted and she brought the fabric on Friday telling me she wants to use it on Sunday for their church first Sunday celebration, I even start perceiving stress because on Saturday by 4 o'clock we had a choir rehearsal, well is nothing as long as I know what I'm doing, I quickly finished up some house choice, I went and bought the black lining, zips, thread, and elastic then I came back and I started with the wrapped crop top.

I folded the fabric by two, I measured her shoulder divided by two, I took the full length then I divided her body measurements by two then I measured from the shoulder down to the open wrapped point, I put in 1.5 inches for sewing allowance and I cut it out.

After cutting the front out I went ahead and folded the fabric again, for the back cutting, I measured the full length and the shoulder divided by two, I also divided the body by four then I put in 1.5 inches for sewing allowance and then I cut it out.

I went ahead and placed them on the lining and turned them properly.

After turning them I picked up the backside and put in the zip, then I prepared the side roop and fixed them at both sides then I joined both the front and back together.

After joining I cut out the sleeves then I went and sewed a gathered stitch shifted them for the puff style, and then joined them at a normal point I now put in the elastic at the hem of the sleeves then I joined them properly.

After finishing with the top, I now went ahead with the skirt procedure, I folded the fabric by two, measured the full length, then divided the waist measurement by four and drafted it down, I measured from the waist down to the hip point and then I divided the hips measurements by four, and I took the inner hip for the slit, after that I cut it out.

After cutting it out I placed the front on the fabric on the fold then I put in 1.5 for the zipper allowance then I cut it out.

I now went and placed them on the lining.

I went to the sewing machine and sewed them I turned out the right side, and after that, I picked the back side and joined then I put in the back zip and held the dart, I picked up the front and held the dart too then I joined the front and the back together, I cut the waistband and fixed on the waist, so this is what the skirt looks like.

Here is the outcome of the dress.

Wow, I was so proud of myself that I was able to finish it in time, i ironed them and finished everything on Saturday morning, she was so happy and the dress looked nice on her.
