Ultimate relaxation

With all that was going on the last few weeks all over the world, I had pretty rough weeks at the job. To the point that I was in desperate need of a holiday and some time for myself.

So this morning we started with a 12 kilometres long hike in the Ardennes in the midst of untouched nature.

A good start to unwind!

This afternoon I decided to try some fishing in the ponds near our holiday home. Even though it is very early in the season, I struck gold! I caught ten fish in two hours, of which a few incredibly looking species. Rainbow trout, brown trouts, they were all biting as if it was summer already. Incredibly relaxing! For me that is the ultimate mind reset, and brings me completely back to nature. And of course all catch and release, as a true sports fisherman.

Oh yes but no AHAH, the alps extend very vertically if you can say so AHAH, so I am at the end of the mountain range in Basilicata, southern Italy, in the highest regional capital in Italy above sea level!
