[Eng+Spa] International Hashtag Day + Día Internacional del Hashtag
Today is the International Hashtag Day. Thanks to #Twitter, in 2007, an element was introduced in social #networks that is very familiar to us today, the #Hashtag, this particular way of labeling words or phrases to turn them into #keywords or 'content descriptors', thanks to which the grouping of similar content or related topics was greatly simplified.

Hoy es el Día Internacional del Hashtag. Gracias a #Twitter, en 2007, se introdujo un elemento en las redes sociales que hoy nos resulta muy familiar, el #Hashtag, esta particular manera de etiquetar palabras o frases para convertirlas en palabras clave o descriptores de contenidos, gracias a los cuales la agrupación de contenidos similares o de temáticas afines se simplificó en muy gran medida.

Messina, who was an #Internet consultant and designer, was trying to group content to detect trends and be able to classify information more easily. Well, let's just say it was a stroke of ingenuity, the simple use of a character, whether we call it hash or pound, allowed to highlight words or terms in a sentence, which then, by applying a simple request to the algorithm, returned all the posts on the #microbloging network that matched the search request.
Since its creation, the hashtag has been adopted by all social networks and has spread everywhere, its usefulness has been more than proven in these 15 years of existence. But, by the way, the date hasn't been celebrated for a long time, actually it starts to be commemorated since 2018, and it really intrigues me how something so great had to wait 11 years to be assigned a day on the calendar.
Anyway, with nothing to add to the #InternationalHashtagDay, in any social network you read it, I have to say: Happy Hashtag Day!

Messina, que era consultor de #Internet y diseñador, estaba tratando de lograr agrupar contenidos para detectar tendencias y poder clasificar información con mayor facilidad. Bien, digamos que fue un golpe de ingenio, el simple uso de un carácter, ya sea que le llamemos almohadilla o numeral, permitía resaltar palabras o términos en una oración, que luego, al aplicar una petición simple al algoritmo, arrojaba todas las publicaciones en la red de #microbloging que coincidiera con la solicitud de búsqueda.
Desde su creación, el hashtag ha sido adoptado por todas las redes sociales y se ha expandido por todas partes, su utilidad ha quedado más que demostrada en estos 15 años de existencia. Pero, por cierto, la fecha no se celebra desde hace mucho, en realidad se comienza a conmemorar desde 2018 y de verdad que me intriga como algo tan genial tuvo que esperar 11 años para que le asignaran u día en el calendario.
En fin, sin nada que agregar al #DiaInternacionaldelHashtag, en cualquier red social que lo leas, me queda por decir: ¡Feliz día del Hashtag!
