El sitio de GOG está regalando el #juego "Immortal Redneck"
I checked my email and I received a notification of the gift, I went to check the game file and I have to say that it seems entertaining. It is described as a mix of #FPS, #Roguelite, #Arcade and #Dungeons gameplay touches. Among the critics there are comments such as that it is a mixture of the old and legendary Doom and Quake mechanics, but set like the well-known "Serious Sam", with a multitude of rare weapons, some more classic weapons and several magic weapons.
I guess what caught my attention at the beginning was the comment in the promotional video, when the protagonist of the adventure says to start: "The worst hangover in history..." yes, that caught me with a little laugh, thinking about some circumstances in which one finds oneself in strange places and situations, and you have to ask yourself: what happened?, or how did I get to this place?
On the other hand, that of placing an American peasant as the protagonist of an adventure of this type, which I really did not expect, gives it a touch of light-hearted humor and lightens the strangeness of all this. I don't know what was going through the heads of Crema Games to do something like this. By the way, it caught my attention that although the company Crema Games is an #Indie software development company based in Madrid, #Spain, it turns out that they don't have audio in their native language, they do have the texts translated from English to various languages, but they only have the audio and the dialogues in English, I suppose it has to do with marketing issues or perhaps the work budget was not enough for the dubbing. Well, in any case, at least the game seems entertaining and the reviews I read on the Steam platform are good too.

Revisé mi correo y me llegó una notificación del regalo, fui a revisar la ficha del juego y he de decir que me parece entretenido. Se describe como una mezcla de #FPS, #Roguelite, #Arcade y toques de juego de #Mazmorras. Entre las críticas hay comentarios tales como que es una mezcla de las mecánicas del viejo y legendario Doom y Quake, pero ambientado como el conocido "Serious Sam", con una multitud de armas raras, algunas armas más clásicas y varias armas mágicas.
Supongo que lo que me llamó más la atención al inicio fue el comentario en el video promocional, cuando el protagonista de la aventura dice para comenzar: "La peor resaca de la historia..." sí, eso me atrapó con un poco de risa, pensando en algunas circunstancias en las que uno se encuentra en sitios y situaciones raras y te tienes que preguntar ¿qué fue lo que pasó?, o ¿cómo llegué aquí?
Por otra parte, eso de colocar a un campesino norteamericano como protagonista de una aventura de este tipo de verdad que no me lo esperaba, le da un toque de humor desenfadado y aligera lo extraño de todo esto. No sé que le pasaba por la cabeza a los de Crema Games para hacer algo como esto. Por cierto, me llamó la atención de que si bien la empresa Crema Games es una compañía de desarrollo de software #Indie con sede en Madrid, España, resulta que no tienen audio en su idioma natal, sí tienen los textos traducidos de inglés a varios idiomas, pero únicamente tienen el audio y los diálogos en inglés, supongo que tiene que ver con cosas de la comercialización o quizás el presupuesto de trabajo no alcanzaba para el doblaje. Bueno, de la manera que sea, cuando menos el juego parece entretenido y las críticas que le leí en la plataforma de Steam también son buenas.
