Thanks to an account I follow on social media, I found out that today is World #Agriculture Day, a date to recognize and praise work in #agricultural production. I have once read that a doctor may be needed from time to time, just like an engineer, a lawyer or another professional, but we will need #farmers every day. I believe that the phrase was not intended to belittle professional training or to place one producer group above another, but simply to remember the most basic of all, that for a human system to work, one of the first things to ensure is the source of #food, something that is in charge of the agricultural sector and, today, #agroindustry.
Agricultural activities have accompanied humanity since its distant beginnings, it can be said that it is part of the Neolithic Revolution, that old era in which our ancestors began to better observe nature, learned about its cycles, its seasons for harvesting, improved their tools and created new ones, as well as settling more permanently in fertile areas, not only to gather and hunt, but also (for the first time) to control and monitor plants in order to cultivate and harvest them with the highest possible benefit. This greater availability of food is one of the traits that marked the evolutionary success of some populations over others and opened the path that has brought us many thousands of years to the present.
Turning to this registry to report things about my day personally, I must say that it has been a calmer day, we have had some electrical failures, but much less than in recent days, so if one day is less bad than the previous ones, you can almost say it's a good day, at least in comparison (laughs resignedly).
Well, I guess this record will be short, I wish you well and that we can read each other again another time.

Gracias a una cuenta que sigo en redes sociales, me enteré de que hoy es el Día Mundial de la #Agricultura, una fecha para reconocer y enaltecer el trabajo en la producción agrícola. Alguna vez he leído que se puede necesitar de un médico de vez en cuando, igual que de un ingeniero, un abogado u otro profesional, pero necesitaremos de los #agricultores todos los días. La frase creo que no trataba de menospreciar la formación profesional ni colocar a un grupo productor por encima de otro, sino simplemente recordar lo más básico de todo, que para que un sistema humano funcione, una de las primeras cosas a asegurar es la fuente de alimentos, cosa de la que se encarga el sector agrícola y, hoy en día, la #agroindustria.
Las actividades agrícolas han acompañado a la humanidad desde sus lejanos inicios, se puede decir que es parte de la Revolución del Neolítico, esa vieja era en que nuestros ancestros comenzaron a observar mejor la naturaleza, aprendieron sobre sus ciclos, sus temporadas para recolección, mejoraron sus herramientas y crearon otras nuevas, así como empezaron a asentarse de modo más permanente en las zonas fértiles, no solo para recolectar y cazar, sino que también para (por primera vez) controlar y vigilar las plantas a fin de cultivarlas y cosecharlas con el mayor beneficio posible. Es esta mayor disponibilidad de alimento uno de los rasgos que marco el éxito evolutivo de algunas poblaciones sobre otras y nos abrió el camino que nos ha traído muchos miles de años hasta el presente.
Pasando en este registro a reportar cosas de mi día en lo personal, debo decir que ha sido un día más calmado, hemos tenido algunas fallas eléctricas, pero mucho menos que en días recientes, así que si un día es menos malo que los anteriores, casi se puede decir que es un buen día, al menos en comparación (risas resignadas).
Bueno, supongo que este registro quedará breve, te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
