The puddle: A need for change

Here in this puddle I've watched things happen
Casualties recorded a number of times
A slippery inaccessible pathway just from few drops of rainfall
Inhabitants going through hell in silence
How long will this continue?

It had gone viral on all news headlines
The president elect had made promises
To restructure all bad roads
But 730 days later, it remains the same

Still in trenches and despair
I nod in negativity
The puddle has done enough
It has to be stopped
Change begins with me
I must effect this change

I'm ready to assembly the youths right away
We'll make a temporary drainage system
To ease the effect of the puddle

We'll take the next step
We'll proceed to the GRA
Carrying out a peaceful protest
Requesting for the basic social amenities
We can't keep shut forever
While the country's money is being squandered

It's high time we make a move
A move to roads without puddles
A move to less risks
A move to a better community
A move to a better society
A move to a better country

Very true, sometimes, we should do the little or the much we can to help alleviate our suffering instead of waiting for the Government.
