Once a life in drench

Seeing this reminds me of the drench we lived in many years ago
I can remember the struggle each morning as we waded through the waters just to get to school

The shivers and cold we felt while in class, the lateness and punishments visible in our faces

But then I was determined to make it, I was gonna come back as an engineer to accord the waters its last respect by giving it a befitting burial in the waterways and passage channels

Although we are now living well, other kids won't have to experience what I did experience as a kid
I'm back to put it where it rightly belong

I wonder if water can be put back where it belongs or if we humans live where the water belongs. We seem to have a habit to do so.
