A final goodbye I'll say
I had waited patiently

A poignant good bye. Twenty years is a long time to wait for someone. The love you felt for Frank was definitely not returned in the same measure. It's heartbreaking to reach out to someone and receive no response in any manner. Individuals can't trifle with the affections of another. Nothing good will come to them.
