Ladies of Hive Community Contest #105: It's easier to forgive

Edited with addtex app

Hello fellow @ladiesofhive I feel good to be back here this week with the amazing contest topic by our dearest @ifarmgirl .
Today on my blog, I will be talking about the topic

Do you have a personal guiding principle (or a mantra) by which you live?

Oh yes! Everyone has some kind of personal principles that keeps them going and I am not an exception.
In my little years her on earth, I have come across life's challenges that made me set up some principles for myself to help guide me through as a person.

What is it? FORGIVENESS

In my early years, I had zero forgiveness in me. Though I was reserved but whenever someone said or did something bad to me, I don't care who you are but I make sure I revenge with something worse and when I see you in pains afterwards, I derive maximum satisfaction.

But as I became older, I realized that revenge causes more harm to the one trying to revenge.
So opted to forgiveness which is more easier.

Right now, each time I am offended I don't even wait for the offender to seek for forgiveness before I forgive. And when they finally ask, I will gladly declare that I have forgiven long before it was asked.

How forgiveness is impacting my life so far

  • Each time I forgive and let go, there is some kind of inner peace I feel and also feel like a huge burden is taken off my shoulders.
  • Forgiveness has helped me realize that everyone has one or two weaknesses and that some don't really meant to offend me.
  • I feel free with my offenders though I become careful and have limits.

Most times if I pronounce forgiveness, many don't believe me maybe because they weigh the offense and felt I should have dragged a little bit but I see absolutely no reason dragging issues because I realized life is too short to keep dragging issues that cannot give you spare life.

I wish to invite @hivedeb to join the contest.
I am @patakwashh

Unforgiveness feels like a big load. The relief one gets from carrying a free heart cannot be described.
Afterall, we all make mistakes and might need others to forgive us.

Great guiding principle. Thanks for writing.

Forgiveness can be hard, and it's often something we strive to do daily. However, you are right; it is like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders once you do so and move on. I also understand the limits you place. I tend to do the same thing. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!

Oh that's often a hard thing to do. Our mouths may say the words but our hearts say otherwise.
