Mysterious Building in the Forest / Ormandaki Gizemli Yapı ( EN-TR)

Now that the weather is getting colder, I've moved further away from the coast. The places I go to explore are usually forested areas and ancient cities I've never even heard of before. One of these discoveries was the forests of Güllük Mountain, close to Antalya's Korkuteli district. These days, abandoned buildings and houses have started to attract my attention a lot in my explorations. I came across such a view again in the forest.

Artık havaların soğumasıyla, sahil kenarlarından iyice uzaklaştım. Keşif için gittiğim yerler genelde ormanlık alanlar ve daha önce adını bile duymadığım antik kentler oluyor. Bu keşiflerden biri de Antalya'nın Korkuteli ilçesine yakın olan Güllük Dağı ormanları oldu. Bu aralar keşiflerimde terk edilmiş binalar ve evler çok dikkatimi çekmeye başladı. Geldiğim ormanda yine böyle bir manzarayla karşılaştım.

Güllük Mountain is located in a region between Antalya city center and Korkuteli district. To get here, you need to take the Antalya Korkuteli road route. With the ancient city of Termessos, which is located nearby, this region has slowly become known. My goal here is to go as far as I can go, if not to the summit of Solymos Mountain, which bears the name of Güllük.

Güllük Dağı, Antalya şehir merkezi ile Korkuteli ilçesi arasında kalan bir bölgede konumlandırılmıştır. Buraya gelmek için, Antalya Korkuteli yolu güzergahından yola çıkmanız gerekiyor. This disused building I saw in the forest during our journey has an entrance with five stone steps and a long stage front. On the wall of the building there is a painting decorated with stones, perhaps reminiscent of the tree of life. When I looked at it from a distance, the first thing that came to my mind was whether this was an abandoned school building. Sometimes village schools are closed down because they don't have enough students. This could be one of them. We will find out when we go inside.

Bu yolculuğumuz sırasında ormanın içinde gördüğüm kullanılmayan bu yapının beş taş basamaktan oluşan girişi ve uzun bir sahne önü var. Now let's see what's going on inside with curious eyes. As soon as I climb the stairs, a corridor appears in front of me. On the right side of the corridor, I see a large room, which I can call the main hall of the building. On the left side, there are sinks for men and women. In most of the old schools, the white small square tiles were made halfway up the wall. That's how it was done here too. The old washbasins are held in place with thin iron bars. The sinks were made in such a way that they would fall off immediately if pressure was applied to them. One of them had already fallen and appeared to have fallen apart.

After the rectangular shaped fireplace in the hall of the building with red bricks, I think this place could be a restaurant or a business. Maybe something could be attached to the long wooden slats between the walls to make a counter. In front of the fireplace, there are tables and chairs made of wood with different patterns, so we can turn this place into a restaurant under the name “Nature's Menu”.

Binanın salonunda kırmızı tuğlalarla döşenmiş dikdörtgen şeklindeki şömineden sonra buranın bir restoran ya da işletme olabileceğini düşünüyorum. Duvar aralarındaki, uzun ahşap çıtalara belki bir şeyler tutturularak tezgah yapılmış olabilir. The front of the room in the living room has been blocked off with long wooden boards. Months ago, as a school trip, we went to a village called Pınar Göz. There, we had entered a trout restaurant and before coming to the village, we had entered a business in nature. The restaurant had an open stone stage in front of this building. They decorated the edges of this section with village cushions. They had arranged it in the form of a floor table. Pans and pots made of copper and glasses presented in the form of small pitchers made a difference. There were tables and chairs inside. In the establishment where an old Antalya tradesman was reflected, we also saw the impressions of the nomad culture. I can say that the structure here also leaves impressions that reflect the spirit of that culture.

Salondaki odanın ön tarafı ahşap uzun tahtalardan kapatılmaya çalışılmış. Aylar öncesinde, okul gezisi olarak Pınar gözü adı verilen bir köye gitmiştik. Orada alabalık restoran hizmeti veren ve köye gelmeden önce doğanın içinde bir işletmeye girmiştik. Restoranın bu yapıya ön kısmı açık taştan oluşan bir sahne önü vardı. Bu bölüme köy minderleriyle kenarlarını süslemişler. Yer sofrası şeklinde düzenlemişlerdi. Bakırdan yapılan tava ve tencerelerle , küçük ibrik şeklinde sunulan bardaklarda farklılık yaratıyordu. İçeride ise masa ve sandalyeler vardı. Eski bir Antalya esnafının yansıtıldığı işletmede, yörük kültürünün izlenimlerini de gördük. Burada ki yapının da sanki o kültürün ruhunu yansıtan izlenimler bıraktığını söyleyebilirim.

Located in the forest at the starting point of Gulluk Mountain, there are a few other empty and unused houses around this building. This shows that there was a small community living here in the past. This building may also be the only facility serving here. Behind the fireplace in the living room is the kitchen. The countertops are made of marble, wood and ceramic tiles. The first details that catch the eye are the empty cupboards under the kitchen counter, which covers a large area.

Güllük Dağı'nın başlangıç noktasındaki ormanın içinde yer alan bu yapının çevresinde boş olan ve kullanılmayan birkaç ev daha var. Bu da çok eskilerde buralar da yaşayan küçük bir topluluğun olduğunu gösteriyor. Bu yapı belki de burada hizmet veren tek tesis olma özelliğini de taşıyor olabilir. Salondaki şöminenin arkasında mutfak salonu var. Tezgah, mermerden, ahşaptan ve seramik kaplamalardan yapılmış. I walk through the corridors of the vacant building to its rooms. This old building has a total of five empty rooms. In each of the rooms you can see the wooden slats in the center of the walls and the dried paint on the walls. Each room has a large window. Looking through the windows, you can see all the beauty of nature. The fact that a building in a superb location was abandoned and left empty creates an air of mystery. I wonder how they arranged the water and electrical wiring in such a desolate environment. The sockets we used in our homes in the 90s catch my eye here too. Even the plastic pipes extending from the roof on the sides of the houses have been thought of.

Boş bırakılan yapının koridorlarından yürüyerek odalarına geçiyorum. Bu eski binanın toplamda beş boş odası var. Odaların her birinde duvarların ortasındaki ahşap çıtılar ve duvarı kurumuş boyalar görünüyor. Her odanın geniş bir penceresi var. Pencerelerden bakıldığında, doğanın tüm güzelliği görebiliyorsunuz. Leaving this empty space, we start our walk towards the mountain. We take our steps with an adventurous spirit among the pine trees and green grasses that are sparsely visible. Perhaps we pass through the habitats of endangered wild animals, such as the eagle, mountain goat and fallow deer. Passing through many hills and valleys, we reach points of high altitude.

Bu boş bırakılan yerden ayrılarak, dağa doğru yürüyüşümüze geçiyoruz. Seyrek bir şekilde etrafta görünen çam ağaçları ve yeşil otların arasından, maceracı ruhumuzla adımlarımızı atıyoruz. I think forest walks like this are a good opportunity to see various plants and animals. Of course, I also want the color green to penetrate my soul with the supernatural landscapes I see and the happiness of the fresh air. I even set out to feel the smell of the earth and hear the sound of nature.

Ben buna benzer orman yürüyüşlerinin, çeşitli bitki ve hayvanları görmek için iyi bir fırsat olduğunu düşünürüm. During this journey, we pass by sharp cliffs and gullies that cut the land in two, before reaching a lush little plateau. Then we encounter large boulders that are very difficult to cross and climb. At some moments, there are even difficult paths and times when I get into the greenery with no path. But in the end, I am deeply enchanted by the view, which is a magnificent visual feast of nature.

Bu yolculuğumuz boyunca, gördüklerimiz arasında keskin sarp kayalıkların ve toprağı ikiye bölen çukurluklarının yanından geçerek, yemyeşil küçük bir yaylaya ulaşıyoruz.
