Hey all, I've been making some drawings for this year's inktober, but I wanted to share this one in particular because it's one of my favorites, however in other posts I'll share the rest of the drawings.

Today's prompt was Patch; at first I thought of an eye patch, but then a clothing patch came to mind, although I didn't know what to put on the patch.
I considered making a pumpkin but then I thought of ghosts, and specially Mario Bros' ghost named Boo.

I used procreate to draw this and an apple pencil.
The first layer was a leather jacket, I wanted this just because I copied one I have and simply I played with shapes to make the shadows.

Another layer has the ghost's outline, as I added details I added layers to create textures on each one.

This other layer has light shadows that mix up with the effect of the patch's stitches which I made with a dry paint brush, making continuous parallel lines, and with the same brush but thinner and darker I repeated the process of little lines to make shadows and give it texture.

As you can see, I added more details like a little sewing all around and lose fabric strands along with shadow to make it have volume.

I added light thin lines to the outline to make it look like more sewing just like patches have.
I liked how it turned out, it looks kinda realistic in comparison with the jacket which was the first thing I drew.

I always add, duplicate and delete layers, that's why the numbers look all random and some repeated and I'm not as organized as other persons that name each layer, I tried to do so once but I always forget to organize my layers 😅

Until Next time
