This is a post to tell you how was the celebration of my 53rd birthday and I do it from this nice community called Family & Friends. By the way, I think this is my first time posting in this warm hive space. I already took a look at other contents and it has been enriching to read some authors who share their personal experiences, many of them enjoyable and others that stand out for their enthusiasm.

I recognize that I publish little about my personal life, in fact, they are not my favorite to present from my blog, or anywhere and less from any of my social networks. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm not an outgoing lady. However, here I am to share about the celebration of a new birthday in my life, the 53rd.

I celebrated my birthday in Venezuela

I write about this moment with much joy and gratitude because I celebrated it with my family in Venezuela, after being two years away from them.

Esta es una publicación para contarles como fue la celebración de mis 53 añitos y lo hago desde esta linda comunidad llamada Family & Friends. Por cierto, creo que esta es mi primera vez publicando en este espacio cálido de hive. Ya le di un vistazo a otros contenidos y ha sido enriquecedor leer a algunos autores que comparten sus vivencias personales, muchas de ellas amenas y otras que destacan por lo entusiastas que son.
Reconozco que publico poco sobre mi vida personal, de hecho, no son mis favoritas para presentar desde mi blog, ni en ninguna parte y menos desde alguna de mis redes sociales. No sé, quizás se deba a que soy una señora poco extrovertida. Sin embargo, aquí estoy para compartir sobre la celebración de un nuevo cumpleaños en mi vida, el 53.
Celebré mi cumpleaños en Venezuela
Escribo sobre este momento con mucha alegría y agradecimiento porque lo celebré con mi familia en Venezuela, luego de estar dos años lejos de ellos.

Being in Venezuela gave me the opportunity to experience my birthday with my mom, my grandmother, my brother, my aunts, my uncle, a cousin-nephew, some friends and my youngest son, who traveled with me. Although the purpose of this post is to talk about my experience as a birthday girl, I want to mention that I came to Venezuela to visit my mom who had suffered a femur fracture at the hip, as some friends and co-workers at Hive know and maybe in another post I will tell you about that event.

In spite of all the bad things that have happened, I am grateful to God because He gave me the opportunity to be with my mom, to see her walking again and to share my birthday cake together. Look how appetizing it looks.

Estar en Venezuela me dió la oportunidad de vivir mi cumpleaños con mi mamá, mi abuela, mi hermano, mis tías, mi tío, un primo-sobrino, algunas amistades y mi hijo menor, quien viajó conmigo. Aunque el objetivo de esta publicación es hablar sobre mi experiencia de cumpleañera, deseo mencionar que vine a Venezuela para visitar a mi mamá quien había sufrido una fractura de fémur a la altura de la cadera, como algunos amigos y compañeros de trabajo en Hive lo saben y quizás en otra publicación les hable sobre ese suceso.
Dentro de todo lo malo que ha sucedido, estoy agradecida con Dios porque me regaló la oportunidad de estar con mi mamá, verla caminar de nuevo y compartir juntas mi pastel de cumpleaños. Miren lo apetitoso que se ve.

A cassava cake!

The person responsible for this delicacy was one of my aunts, who came up with the idea of giving me a birthday surprise with a cassava cake, because she knows that I love this kind of cake and even more if it is prepared by her. It is so delicious. It looks like a tres leches cake, but without milk. I really love her cassava cake and I thanked her for the surprise. She is the lady in the middle of the next picture, there you will see me with my mom and my aunt.

¡Una torta de yuca!
La responsable de esa exquisitez ha sido una de mis tías, a quien se le ocurrió la idea de darme una sorpresa de cumpleaños con una torta de yuca, porque sabe que amo ese tipo de torta y más si es preparada por ella. Es que le queda riquísima. Parece una torta tres leches, pero sin leche. De verdad, me encanta como le queda la torta de yuca y le agradecí la sorpresa. Ella es la señora que está en el medio en la siguiente foto, allí me verán junto a mi mamá y mi tía.

The day of my birthday begins with congratulations from my family, in person and by phone. I am surprised by the expressions of affection because I recognize that I am not aware of my birthday and I live it with tranquility, while I rejoice to receive a special gesture, such as a hug, a cup of coffee in the morning and a cookie.

If the day was special, so was the evening. The surprise gathering took place in the evening, which began with the arrival of the cake.

El día de mi cumpleaños inicio entre felicitaciones por parte de la familia, de forma personal y por teléfono. Me sorprenden las manifestaciones de cariño porque reconozco que no estoy pendiente de mi fecha de cumpleaños y lo vivo con tranquilidad, mientras me regocijo al recibir un gesto especial, como un abrazo, una taza de café en la mañana y una galletita.
Si el día fue especial la noche también lo fue. La reunión sorpresa se hizo en la noche, la que inicio con la llegada del pastel.

Everyone present sang the popular “Happy Birthday” and another song that is traditional in the family, one that has a Christian message. It was a very nice moment.

My birthday celebration was simple and special. Of course, I wanted to immortalize the moment to keep it in photos because after two years away I was now with my family in Venezuela. It is an emotion because from the distance so many things have happened, some happy, some sad, some ugly, some horrible, but we have tried to make the most of everything that happens to us. Like this moment of reunion and family celebration.

I am happy to share with my people this new beginning of another cycle of my life. I am blessed for this special moment. In the following pictures you will see me with my grandmother, my mom, my brother @gsbilbao and my youngest son.

Todos los presentes cantaron el popular "cumpleaños feliz" y otro canto que es tradicional en la familia, uno que tiene mensaje cristiano. Muy lindo el momento.
La celebración de mi cumpleaños fue sencilla y especial. Por supuesto, que quería inmortalizar el momento para guardarlo en fotos porque luego de dos años lejos ahora estaba con mi familia en Venezuela. Es una emoción porque desde la distancia han sucedido tantas cosas, unas alegres, otras tristes, unas feas, otras horribles, pero hemos tratado de ir sacándole provecho a todo lo que nos sucede. Como a este momento de reencuentro y celebración familiar.
Estoy feliz de compartir con mi gente este nuevo inicio de otro ciclo de mi vida. Bendecida soy por este momento especial. En las siguientes fotos me verán con mi abuela, con mi mamá, con mi hermano @gsbilbao y con mi hijo menor.

I came to Venezuela with my younger son and my older son stayed in Colombia but there are no borders to embrace us even virtually until we are together again.

Vine a Venezuela con mi hijo menor y mi hijo mayor se quedó en Colombia pero no hay fronteras para abrazarnos aunque sea virtualmente hasta que estemos juntos de nuevo.
