Consistency on the Hive Blockchain

I wouldn't even lie to myself that I joined the Hive Blockchain for the thrill or a new experience, I obviously thought of it as a means to get rich. And even though getting rich off the blockchain is plausible, not realizing that there is a method to this madness would make it almost impossible to move from one end of the obscurity spectrum to a point where you could even consider your involvement profitable.

I have come to realize that the journey is a marathon and not a sprint but most importantly it requires a great level of commitment. In my heydays, I involved myself with some sports betting (and quite frankly, if I see a sure bet today I still could get myself involved). And for some reason, I initially thought getting involved in crypto and blockchain would also be a high-risk, high reward venture like it was in sports betting. Even though some projects on the blockchain are fashioned with the high-risk high reward model, I am learning to understand that on the Hive blockchain the Modus Operandi is building a community/communities that would grow together.

My friend Belemo got me involved with Hive after I have continuously asked(maybe even pestered) him to enlighten me on ways to earn passively, and I remember he sent me on my way with only one pertinent piece of advice besides his constant plea that respect should be accorded to every community and its members. He said

" Try and put out a post every day and be sure to interact cordially with most people"

It seemed like a simple requirement at the time because I consider myself a driven person. Little did I know that drive was just one of the many prerequisites needed in this long ride. A few days into the journey, it seemed like I had lost my way until I met @deraaa who is the most motivated not so newbie on Hive. I was privileged to meet with her in person over pizza and ice cream, and ever since she has been a great source of inspiration to me. She is witty, a whole lot more driven than myself, good looking and she really knows how to go after whatever she wants. Deraaa made me realise that knowing motivated people isn't enough because motivation can not be imparted by some spiritual ritual, it's something you want for yourself, something you are prepared to do whatever it takes to achieve. These wonderful characteristics I just described hasn't been fully met by my humble self, but I'm a work in progress.

**Why is Consistency on Hive Important Now? **

As we have seen these past weeks, Hive has constantly been on the rise which is leading to a large buzz in the crypto sphere and plenty of people will get in on the action for the FOMO (fear of missing out), but I believe the basis on which the Hive Blockchain is built helps maintain stability due to the constant interaction with people and communities of all sorts. So, if you intend to grow on this blockchain I suggest it's high time we realize that it's a marathon and not a sprint, and realize if we keep our eyes on the price we would definitely have our piece of the pie as Hive is definitely going to the moon.

Summary

As much as it seems like Hive is a means of passively earning some money if you do not put in the time you might not make a dime.
