Testing my new camera.

A variety of shots here to see how the new clicker performs.

As some of you know, my old Canon packed up and I am practicing with the new one. So here I have a few shots at different distances to check out the zoom and some different settings on the camera.
So the experts and ordinary people like me can tell me if the photos are acceptable. Feel free to criticize, but be aware that I will only answer positive remarks.
So come and have a look.

Two photos of our sunrise this morning and I call them a golden moment.
Photo distance is about half a kilometer.

A much closer shot at one of our young squirrels.

Here we have a panoramic landscape shot.

Yes, the Jackal Buzzard was very high up, but I tested the Super Zoom.

And finally a super zoom shot of a valley in a mountain peak.

It's like driving a new car and I will eventually get used to the tricks of the new camera, I hope. In the last 3 days I have taken about 400 shots with it and similar to the old version of the same camera, this one also seems to be durable, but we will see if it performs consistently after a couple of months.
In the meantime I will slacken off a bit from the testing and try to take quality photos.

The tests seems to work for me, as I think these photos are not bad, although I have to work on the super zoom focus on birds that are higher than a mile up in the sky, like that buzzard today.
For now, this is my progress thus far and I hope that the photos are presentable.

That's it for today and we wish everyone a happy Friday and a lovely weekend.

Having some fun with new camera, much like driving a car you learn each has it's own feel.

Lovely sunrise, buzzard so high and moving takes a little more in timing, look who's talking I missed a kite go right over my head this morning 😌

Not a bad run considering the older was treasured for such a long time! Well as they say out with the old, in with the new!

Oh yeah, very tricky as it is much smaller and as I panned the buzzard I followed my old panning speed, so with this new one I will have to move it a bit faster.

This was the real height of the Buzzard.

As they say over here, "moer toe" high 🤣 !LOLZ

Did I ever tell you that I don't like new things Lady Joan. They are all stiff like coffins and un-cooperative and so it takes time to really wear anything in.

Thank you kindly for the Tipu

Hope that you guys will all have a good weekend.

Thank you, the Bridge camera's are not very expensive and one doesn't have to bother to buy any lenses, as that is the expensive part. It has a fixed lens mounted in the super zoom turret and the settings enable one to shoot in any mode.
There are a few people here on hive that have the same camera.

Yes, I like not having the hassle of changing lenses. Bridges are of great value, and this camera seems a good deal.
