My love for the mountains.

(Edited)

The mountains teach me about my foundation in life.

Do I build our charity projects on a foundation of rock, or on sand?

For if its built on sand then it will not last. The first big storm will blow it over, as the sand has no anchor. So whenever I design a project I keep my eye on the future as the project has to have adaptive qualities.
The mountains might look static, but they are in fact alive and can remain stable under any conditions.

Beautiful shades, colors and styles that can keep me immersed in wonder for hours. The ancient rocks hold many stories and maybe one day they will tell me about the olden years when they started to form.
They are of the oldest in the world and they still stand in their true pride.

So, thank you for sharing my love for the mountains and I hope that you have taken a deep breath of that fresh mountain air.
Another day is done and as they say, life goes on.
Tomorrow is a public holiday here and the roads will be clogged with cars of the people returning from the long weekend holiday.
Thankfully we will not be on the roads, as we stayed at home.

I hope that you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.

And That's All Friends.

oh yes your long weekend, I hope the roads were safe for people using them.

Accidents are the norm here and yes, the roads are not a place to be on a long weekend, or during peak holiday times.

Unfortunately your roads sound exactly like they were in Spain regarding holidays!

I think it's the same all over during peak times. So bad is the influx here that we can't even find parking at the beaches.

ah tourists and incomers that is what I am dreading again once the pandemic is over, living on the coast they flock here in the summer, so I can relate totally!

Not only that but we heard that droves of people are moving here every month from up north and that explains the traffic congestion on the roads. New housing developments are jumping up all over the place and I fear that our town is losing its identity.

That is a shame, and sounds like the town where I have a house in Florida. Loads of people from up north have moved there recently in the last few years and took the towns soul.

Ah, so you have another house in Florida? Renting it out or a holiday home?
Migrants need to be housed and new developments soon mushroom all over the place. Some farmers also cash in, as they sell sections of their farms to the housing developers.
So yes, as in your case the identities of the towns change constantly.

It is rented out, one plan I had was to work there, but unless you work in the medical field, there is not much decently paid employment so much is in the hospitality sector and pays peanuts. There are new developments there all over the place, and they cut the national forest to do it, and screw natures habitat and environment, and then wonder why the bears, snakes alligators etc wander onto the new developments. Well duh it was their homes before the bloody Northern humans took it away from them.

I better get off my high horse now 🤣🤣

Also rattles me whenever a forest is sacrificed for that stupid and sly word "Progress", as it is just a mask for greed and profits.
I don't know if you know my friend Damian from Tsu? His tag was "Producer" and he lives there somewhere.

We have the exact same problem here and then the people moan when the Hippos walk in the streets. They freak when a leopard hangs around and tribes of monkeys ruin many kitchens.
So yeah, we are both on high horses when it comes to nature.

Yeah I remember Damian from Tsu, I know he is in the States but I thought was California with his Hollywood connections.
Progress yes that word has alot to answer for, and as you say it is mask that covers all!

tribes of monkeys ruin many kitchens

hehe that is what people get for building in natural habitats of wild animals🤣

It is a bit like when people build on known flood zones over here, what do they expect when they get flooded!

Oh yes, you are right and I am wrong, as we were in video contact and he showed me his house in California and his mom's house. Sorry, but age is getting to me 😉

I have really come to seriously dislike the word "progress" as I can't see the progress when a wetland is destroyed to build a new shopping center.

No one has asked the monkeys what they think about the strange new intruders in their territory.

That one is difficult to understand, but it also happens over here.

Yes it was username producer that always reminded me that he was from California.
Progress is one of my most unlike words for that reason!
Exactly, and when people do try and speak on behalf of the animals they are lampooned and ridiculed, fined and sometimes jailed. That irks me too.
And I need to sort these tokens out, so I can do this beer pizza lol stuff too!

Like here where we live, as we also are targeted for standing up for the animals.
Simple, as just check the totals of your tokens. They give you a required total number for the tokens that you can issue.

Yes I have been looking at the tokens earlier today 😁

Ah good, I spent about 2 years here before I had my first look at the tokens.
Now I regularly just stake most of them 🤣
