Beauty of rain on flowers.

An early morning rising sun slowly lit up our garden.

So beautiful when the rain has stopped and to take an early walk in the garden.

A delightful freshness hangs in the air and the smells assail one's nostrils. One feels alive with a song in the mind and a sense of beauty prevails.
So peace to all on this lovely day and may everyone be blessed.

The white clouds have shed their load of water and as they hide the mountains here, they are gathering to go for a reload.

We have had many storms inland especially in the drought areas. Of course, some flooding as well and how well do I remember the flood that we were in below a dam wall in 2011. But the water is much needed, as we are a water scarce country, and it is such a pity that so much fresh water escapes into the ocean.

South Africa and Africa are known for their nature and great landscapes, waterfalls, mountains, gorges, valleys, and so much more. We are also known for our wildlife, especially the big five. A country of sunshine and friendly people.

Beauty never escapes my eye, especially when I look in the mirror. Hahaha... :) Only joking as I always see a picture of a beautiful flower behind me in the mirror.
We are approaching the end of the year and many of us have made plans for the new year, but please remember that life happens so leave a bit of space in your plans for miscellaneous occurrences.
We hope that you have enjoyed this post today and love to all.

Flowers are always beautiful. However, after the rains, when the flowers are clean and some water is attached to the flowers, the beauty of the flowers is multiplied several times. You shared some awesome flower photography.

After rain, I can say that drops on a flower is the best moment after the smell of soil. It is also a chance to take a macro photo.

Gorgeous flowers, @papilloncharity. I’m glad to hear some drought areas have received rain.

Thank you Lady Jayna.
People say that there are no more miracles, but they are seriously mistaken.
A 5 year drought in a town here was broken in one week. Crusted and sunbaked dams are suddenly overflowing and rivers that have become almost non existent are flooding.

So yes, we are very happy.

Raindrops can make an ordinary blade of grass beautiful and any flower looking awesome. Some macro photographers even have small spray bottles with water in their backpack, just in case they might need some droplets ... 😉

These are beautiful flowers and plants, and especially this interesting looking purple plant wouldn't even have needed the drops.

!BEER and !WINE - both make a nice dinner with !PIZZA :)

Thank you Hannes,

I have never carried a spray bottle in my pocket and besides with my luck I will sit on the thing in a public place 🤣
Besides, rain water is more natural.

I think the one purple plant is a Periwinkle and the succulent is an Afterglow, or something like that.

Cheers and thanks.

I have had such a bottle with me a couple of times, but I have never used it. Now the bottle is somewhere in a drawer.

I have never heard of these plants, but they look cool.

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Hahaha, no need for a bottle with all of the rain around here.
I know for a fact that the succulent will no grow over there as they hate cold. They live in arid areas and deserts, but I cannot speak for the other one, and I think that the Periwinkle is a native of Europe.
How it got here only you will know 🤣 !LOLZ

Cheers and thanks.

My knowledge about plants is even smaller than my knowledge about dragonflies - if I had not seen the photo of the plant I would have thought it is the thing they use on a submarine to look through ... 🤣 !LOLZ

Hahaha, so you think that my plant (Succulentius flatious) is a Periscope 🤣 !LOLZ

Oh yes, I think when the world would have a dire need for botanists, you and I would be fired on our first date 🤣

Cheers and thanks.
