A dad with his youngster.

Now we all know the beauty of an adult Malachite bird.

So lovely with all of his metallic colors.

I happened to chance on a gift today from Mother nature and am happy to show it to you here. Yesterday I got a Black Sparrow Hawk and the post is HERE and today I got this gift below.
Malachites are very shy birds that flit all over the place and they are difficult to get on camera, but it was my lucky day.

But what on earth was this fancy little parrot covered in Pin Cushion flower pollen?

This is Malachite junior and he still had his school, year end, party suit on.

A young beauty that will soon shed his fancy technicolor dream coat to look exactly like his dad. Malachite (Nectarinia famosa)

Not often that I get a youngster like this and he was a real beauty.

Finally, here was one of the free gardeners at work to aerate the soil. It is a Hadeda Ibis, known for their anxious screams when they fly.

It seems to me that folks don't like long posts of 500 words and more, as I have experimented with some during this week and the response was very average. Between 3 to 5 readers of a post tells me that something is wrong.
But what?
My posts are quality that includes humor most of the times, but the vast difference between the voters count and the readers count is totally unbalanced.
Could it be that people just don't read anymore?
Tell me what you think about this?

And That's All Friends!

Your posts always fascinate me with your beautiful nature photos @papilloncharity. I haven't actually gone into depth whether people read posts or not, I know I always try to if I'm going to vote on someone's post. Thank you for sharing, stay well.

I have no idea how many people actually read my posts, but okay, I don't think I ever use that many words ;)

Your posts are always entertaining and the photos suit nicely to your texts - I enjoy your posts and I am sure many more do enjoy them too. They are only lazy commenters, just I am usually one 😁

The father is a beauty, but the youngster is a cutie 🤗

Good evening Hannes,

Oh yes, that experiment taught me that if I write a 1000 words, or 20 words, the result will be the same. So I tried fewer words now in my second post just to prove myself correct 😉

Hahaha, I heard that lazy is your second name, but you are not to blame as the post was not directed at you. But as they say here, "if the shoe fits ... " 🤣

Great thank you, from now on I will name them Beauty and Cutie as it sort of rhymes 🤣 !LOLZ

Cheers and thanks.

Oh, they are so beautiful, i wish they would live here. So many places I still want to visit. :-) According to its appearance this is a sunbird? right? Can they be found easily in South Africa?

The Malachite is one of the birds that fascinate me. I don't know if it is the coloring or the size but I find them enchanting.

Oh yes he is indeed an enchanting fellow but when it comes to singing, the little Double -collared Sunbird beats all of them.

The Double-collared Sunbird is adorable. They sometimes visit our garden.

I whish I had space with trees so I could get some birds nesting. That would be awesome.
