why Maa Durga is worshiped in Navratri Hindi./English

Hello friends how are you all I hope you all are well and healthy.
my post is about why Maa Durga is worshiped in Navratri. This story has been heard by me which I have written in my own words.

Once Brihaspati ji asked Brahma ji why do we celebrate Navratri fast, then Brahma ji said that I will tell you the story from which this fast started.
There was a Brahmin, his daughter was Sumati, both of them were great devotees of Mother Durga. Together they used to worship Maa Durga everyday.
One day Samiti got busy playing with her friend due to which she could not worship Maa Durga that day.
Seeing this, her father got angry with her and started saying in anger that I will get you married to Kodi and poor man and Sumati started saying that you should get me married to her as you wish. If I get the same thing that will be in my destiny, his father got more angry after hearing this and actually got his daughter married to such a person and started saying that you enjoy the fruits of your deeds and with the help of what is written in your destiny. Hearing this, Sumati became very sad and went with her husband because she was a devotee of Mother Bhagwati, so Mother Bhagwati saw her sad and said Sumit, you can ask for whatever you want.

Sumati started asking Mata, what have I done so that you have given me darshan and you are asking me to ask for a wish to complete. Mother said that I am Adishakti and I am asking you to ask for a boon because you had done very good deeds in your previous life.
Sumati was the wife of a thief in her previous life. Once a thief was caught stealing, due to which the soldiers put both husband and wife in jail, there was nothing to eat or drink.
At the time when Sumati and her thief husband were put in jail, Navratri was going on at that time due to which they fasted due to lack of food.
Hearing all this, sumati started thinking what boon should I ask from the mother and asked for this boon that she should make her husband a healthy person.
And from here the fasting of Navratri started.

नमस्कार दोस्तों कैसे हैं आप सभी लोग मैं आशा करता हूं कि आप सभी लोग अच्छे होंगे और स्वस्थ होंगे आज की मेरी पोस्ट नवरात्रि में मां दुर्गा की पूजा क्यों की जाती है इसके बारे में है। यह कहानी मेरे द्वारा सुनी गई है जिसे मैंने अपने सरल शब्दों में लिखा है।

एक बार बृहस्पति जी ने ब्रह्मा जी से पूछा कि नवरात्रि के व्रत क्यों मनाते हैं तब ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा मैं तुम्हें कहानी सुनाता हूं जिनसे यह व्रत प्रारंभ हुए।
एक ब्राह्मण था उनकी बेटी थी सुमति वह दोनों मां दुर्गा के बहुत बड़े भक्त थे। वह दोनों साथ में मिलकर हर रोज मां दुर्गा की पूजा करते थे ।
एक दिन समिति अपने दोस्त के साथ खेलने में व्यस्त हो गई जिस कारण वह उस दिन मां दुर्गा की पूजा नहीं कर पाई।
इसे देखकर उसके पिता उससे नाराज हुए और गुस्से में कहने लगी मैं तुम्हारी शादी कोड़ी और गरीब इंसान के साथ करा दूंगा और सुमति कहने लगी कि जैसी इच्छा हो आपकी मेरी उससे शादी करा देना। मुझे मिलेगा तो वही जो मेरे भाग्य में होगा ऐसा सुनकर उसके पिताजी को और गुस्सा हो गए और सच में अपनी बेटी की शादी एक ऐसे व्यक्ति से करा दी और कहने लगे तू अपने कर्मों के फल भोग और तरे भाग्य में जो लिखा है तो उसके सहारे जी के देख ऐसा सुनकर सुमति बहुत उदास हो गई और अपने पति के साथ चली गई क्योंकि वह माँ भगवती की भक्त थी तो मां भगवती ने उसे उदास देखकर दर्शन देखिए और कहने लगी सुमित तुम जो चाहो वह वर मांग सकती हो।
सुमति माता से पूछने लगी मैंने ऐसा क्या काम किया है जिससे आपने मुझे दर्शन दिए और आप मुझे वर मांगने को कह रही है। मां ने कहा कि मैं आदिशक्ति हूं और मैं तुम्हें वर मांगने को इसलिए कह रही हूं क्योंकि तुमने पिछले जन्म में बहुत अच्छे कर्म किए थे।

सुमति पिछले जन्म में एक चोर की बीवी थी। एक बार चोर चोरी करते हुए पकड़ा गया जिस कारण सैनिकों ने पति-पत्नी दोनों को जेल में डाल दिया वहां ना कुछ खाने को था और ना पीने को।
जिस समय सुमति और उसके चोर पति को जेल में डाला गया तो उस समय नवरात्र चल रहे थे जिस कारण उन्हें खाना ना मिलने के कारण उनके व्रत हो गए।
यह सब सुनकर समिति सोचने लगी मैं मां से क्या वरदान मांगू और समिति ने यह वरदान मांगा कि वह उसके पति को एक स्वस्थ व्यक्ति बना दे।
और यहीं से नवरात्रि के व्रत की शुरुआत हुई।
