Happy Birthday To My Little Angel! My Baby @One
Hello friends of Hive! This is to share with you how my baby's first birthday celebration went on the 26th January. Pardon me for making a post just now, my phone chose that day to give up. Well, I've had it coming considering the number of times my little one drops it or taps on it so hard that if I were the phone, I probably would have fainted a long time ago! I didn't want her first birthday to go bye without making a post about it here on hive and so here is a gist for you!
26th January, 2022 , like last year, was a day to never forget in my life. The day I beheld my very own baby and became a mother. How freaking amazing is that! Somehow I never got to remember the whole child birth experience again till yesterday when everything came all over again and I literally tapped into the feeling once again.
We didn't have 'a party'. We were basically indoors and made the most out of the day. Summarily, we sang, played music, danced, took a couple of photos and ate. Sounds like a usual day right? Well, we had a few balloons here and there. Not to mention her princess crown on display throughout the day. There was an air of celebration and my princess was the reason for our joy.
She started the day in a bit if a mood. She woke up late and didn't want to take photos after grooming. She ate and wanted to go back to bed so we allowed her only to wake up just before noon with bright smile and excitement.
Only that the sight of the balloons made her a bit uncomfortable. My so called balloon decoration was useless because she wouldn't stand next to it for pictures. In fact she was extra clingy that day. This could be because she was the center of attraction and so she naturally held on to me for support and safety. Lol.
Also, It didn't matter if it was her birthday, she just wasn't ready to take photos as usual. I had to find a way. Taking a couple of pictures and she started to cooperate and we use that opportunity to take more pictures.
Since she can't take cake just yet, she ate potatoes and egg for breakfast, baby formula for lunch and rice for dinner. She's only one year old, so I gave these food in little portions. And because she's still breastfeeding, the little portion of food I feed her works just fine. So yeah, she might be a year older now, she's still breastfeeding and would continue till six months to this time.
In all, it was an interesting day if you take out the part where my phone got spoilt. Like always, I didn't let it determine how I felt throughout the day. I basically just ignored the phone and enjoyed celebrating my baby's birthday. If you think of it, its probably for good because it allowed me focus on my baby and family with undivided attention throughout that day.
