Prioritizing your happinessĀ  - week 214

Hello beautiful people šŸ˜

This is my entry to the @weekendexperiencecommunity by @galenkp.

Being in a relationship with the right person is a beautiful experience. Having someone around you to share your life with brings a sense of joy and belonging. Your relationship should be a kind of safe haven, a place of serenity and comfort.

If someone I know is in an abusive relationship, I would advise them to prioritize themselves first and leave such relationships. Abuse is not only physical; it can either be verbal or even sexual, and any form of this abuse is unacceptable and can be harmful to the person involved both emotionally and mentally.

Leaving a relationship can be very hard, mostly when time and resources have been invested in it, but one needs to be in a safe and healthy environment. No abusive relationship is worth your mental and emotional health, happiness, and peace of mind. Though at the moment it may seem hard and difficult, with time they will overcome it.

Knowing your own worth is essential and crucial for several reasons. Having self-love and self-esteem is one of the foundations for a healthy and fulfilling life, and this can influence our ways of living, including our mental and emotional health, relationships, and personal growth.

Having high self-esteem and self-love kind of sets the pace for your life that reflects who you are, your happiness, and your full potential.

Enduring an abusive relationship is not an experience worth having; it messes up your mind, psychology, and perspective. If, by chance, you find yourself in one, do not wait for things to get out of hand; start crying out for help. If there is an authority figure you can speak to about it, by all means, do not hesitate. If your partner has someone they respect and listen to, seek an audience with the person.

Take advantage of every avenue possible to seek help.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END šŸ¤—

Being in an abusive relationship is living in a nightmare. Self love and self esteem like you mentioned are key factors to coming out of such bondage.

Have a lovely Sunday ahead
