NEWBIES INITIATIVE TASK 5//TRIBE TOKENS AND THE USE OF TAGS

After reading the newbies initiative tutorial on tribe tokens and the use of tags made by @samostically, I got to understand more clearly on how to use tags well and how to earn more tokens to yourself. He explained in details the importance of tags, he also explained that you can only use tags related to one's post. I didn't know this before not until I read his tutorial post.

I never knew what tribe token was, all I do was just to write on any community and then chose any tag I wanted, then make my post. There was even a time when I was told that I used a wrong tag and as usual I will immediately go to my friend who has been putting me through and she will tell me the kinds of tags to use.

The video @starstrings01 and @samostically did also made me to understand better on how important it is to use the right tags and how to also earn more tokens to myself. Though I wasn't at the discord meeting but I'm glad this post was able to make me understand better and at least I could answer some questions concerning the use of tags and tribe tokens.

Why do communities create tokens on hive?

Before going straight to the answer, I will first explain to us what tribe token is. Tribe tokens can also be known as community tokens that are built on the hive Blockchain and such tokens are earned by the community members.

Now back to the question on why communities create tokens, I believe the reason they create tokens is to reward their community members and those who make post in the community.

Explain why the use of tags is very important on hive

Tags are those label we add at the end of our post. It makes our post visible to that particular community.

• The use of tags helps the curator to find the type of post they're looking for.

• The use of tags makes our post visible to a particular community which will enable them to easily read and visit our post.

• The use of tags also help authors to make their post easy to find.

List the general tags you know on hive and explain the difference between these tags

The first general tag I know on hive is #proofofbrain followed by #vyb and #Hive

I got to know that when writing any post you can use these tags and you will be rewarded, you can also stake your token if you want to get more of it, and then use the staked one to be voting people's post, at the end you will still get your reward.

These are the only general tags I know for now, I'm sure there are still other general tags I don't know about but as I explore more on hive, I will get to know more of them.

What are the various ways you can earn tribe token on hive?

There are many ways you can earn tribe token and they include;

• by making a post on the community and also by engaging in other people's posts. Just like LOH tokens (Ladies of Hive) which is gotten by making a post on #ladiesofhive community, this community is mostly for women that's why it's called women empowering women. They always come up with various contest every week so that all ladies can participate.

Another token I got to know on hive is DREEM token and you can earn it when you do the daily curation on dreempot or by participating in Dreempot challenge and also by submitting your post on dreempot. We also have the ALIVE token which is earn when you engage on the #aliveandthriving contest or using the @alive.chat, you get to earn more of their tokens by just engaging on their daily alive engagement.

• By curation: you can stake your earned token and use them to upvote people's article, by so doing, you're also getting or earning more token too. We have other community tokens such as LEO for the leofinance AND NEOXAG for neoxian community and lots more which you can earn by either staking the tokens or by just making a post in the community.
