Harmony.

How are you doing this lovely day. I hope you're good, I hope you're well. Sending you high and positive vibes from my side. So, it's been a while since I made any post on my blog. So far, I have been engaging in some hive art and writing challenge and I haven't made any personal post.

So, I decided to share with you guys something I have being working on. This post will be my first official non-intro, art content related post.
It's a little personal side project. I made this art a while ago, So I'm glad I took some pictures. Most times, pictures would be the last thing on my mind, cause my entire focus will be on the creation and finishing of the art I'm working on. But this time around, I took some pictures, check them out below.

This artwork is a piece I'm naming "Harmony". Honestly, this piece of art, I don't know why I decided to name it "harmony". As an artist, most of my ideas come from my experience, how I see the world, and the kind of art I'm trying to create. Before starting any piece of art, I already have the completed image of the idea in my mind, including what I plan on naming it. But because this particular art piece was spontaneous, I didn't know what to name it until it was completed.
When I was done with it, I observed and observed just to see how the work felt in my spirit. All I got back was "Harmony."

It just came to me one night when I saw an image of a bird. Then some ideas began popping up in my mind. Also, I had just gotten some new art materials, like pastel and charcoal pencils, and I had been wanting to test out those mediums (pastel and charcoal pencils) on a new art piece because I haven't used them before. So, I was trying to make a simple artwork just to see how the quality of the medium would be.

Personally, I'm not a fan of birds, but when you have an idea that's worth bringing to life, you just have to surrender to it. Oh, and to clarify, nothing is wrong with birds, I, personally just don't like them, I have had some bad experience with them, so it's something peculiar to me.

As I said earlier, this work was spontaneous. At first it was a rough idea, but with a little finesse, the beauty of the idea started coming together. This artwork was made on A3 white cardboard paper, I used sky blue, orange, sap green pastel pencil and soft charcoal pencil.
