Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I share with you my entry for this week's @splinterlands art contest. I took the Deeplurker card as a reference, it has always seemed very interesting to me, so much so that about two years ago I made a fanart of it, I just didn't like it so much and that's why I'm doing it again and this time in digital.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Les comparto mi participacion para el concurso de arte de @splinterlands de esta semana. Tome como referencia la carta de Deeplurker, siempre me ha parecido muy interesante, tanto así que hace como dos años atrás hice un fanart del mismo, solo que no me gusto tanto y por eso lo vuelvo a hacer y esta vez en digital.

I started making the sketch in a layer, taking as a reference the original character to structure the most similar to it in my version. I wanted to make Deeplurker humanized and not make him the same or similar, that is to say; as he looks like a monster fish, but to make him in a more human form, but without leaving aside all the compassion of the same. I'm not going to tell you lies, this sketch took me hours to get it ready, since I didn't know how to make my humanized version. I took inspiration from some references of girls on Pinterest to help me, because the truth is that I was with the creative focus super burned out.

Comencé haciendo el boceto en una capa, tomando como referencia al personaje original para ir estructurando lo mas parecido el mismo en mi versión. Quise hacer a Deeplurker humanizado y no hacerlo igual o parecido, o sea; como el se ve, así como un pez monstruo, si no hacerlo en una forma más humana, pero sin dejar de lado toda la compasión del mismo. No les voy a decir mentiras, este boceto me tomo horas en tenerlo listo, ya que no sabia como hacer mi versión humanizada. Tome inspiración de algunas referencias de chicas en Pinterest para poder ayudarme, porque la verdad estaba con el foco creativo super quemado.

After having spent a few hours structuring the character and leaving aside certain characteristics of the character, since I didn't think it was convenient to integrate them in my version, I went to do the line art work. For my drawing I integrated from the original character the super monstrous teeth or fangs, both in the mouth and in the shoulders. I also integrated that long tongue and the hair I made it like tentacles, but making a little reference to Deeplurker's tail. I think I managed to integrate or make Deeplurker look enough in human version, also I made my version a bit grotesque, since that's what I always think when I see this character.

Luego de haber estado unas cuantas horas estructurando al personaje y dejando de lado ciertas características del mismo, ya que no creí conveniente integrarlos en mi versión, me fui a hacer el trabajo de line art. Para mi dibujo integre del personaje original los dientes o colmillos super monstruosos, tanto en la boca como en los hombros. También integre esa lengua larga y el cabello lo hice como tentáculos, pero haciendo un poco de referencia a la cola de Deeplurker. Creo que logre integrar o hacer parecer lo suficiente en versión humana a Deeplurker, ademas hice mi versión un poco grotesco, ya que eso es lo que siempre pienso cuando veo a este personaje.

For the color work, what I did was to take the color palette of the original character and use it at my convenience and so I play with all the shades of color as I would use them, which I always do using shades of gray color, because I do not like the super saturated color palettes, so I use or integrate line art in most of my drawings, I feel they make a good contrast with the gray palettes I use and the line art. I started working the skin, then I continued with the hair and clothing. Finally I did the details of the glows and that's it folks, that would be it.

Para el trabajar el color, lo que hice fue tomar la paleta de color del personaje original y la use a mi conveniencia y así juego con todos los tonos de color a como yo los usaría, que siempre lo hago usando tonos de color tirando al gris, ya que no me gustan las paletas de color super saturadas, por eso uso o integro line art en la gran mayoría de mis dibujos, siento que hacen un buen contraste con las paletas grisáceas que uso y el line art. Comencé trabajando la piel, luego seguí con el cabello y la ropa. Por ultimo hice los detalles de los brillos y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
