Hello Hivernauts

The most important factor that determines the quality of a portrait is the lighting. But not just any lighting, but one that perfectly highlights the model's features. Key lighting is, without a doubt, the technique that will allow you to bring out the feminine beauty. It is a main light, usually placed at 45 degrees to the model's face, that brings tonality to the portrait, defines volumes and accentuates the skin texture.

Fill lighting adds great depth and character to the portrait. This light reduces harsh shadows and accentuates the model's features, adding dimension to the final photo. In addition, it can soften or eliminate wrinkles and other skin flaws, achieving a smoothed look.

Last but not least, there is the separation light. Positioning a light source behind the model will create a luminous border around her, separating her from the background. This technique is wonderful for highlighting the woman's hair, shoulders and silhouette, bringing even more drama to the portrait.

In terms of fashion portraiture, understanding how to use lighting to enhance female beauty is an art in itself. Remember, every photo is a canvas where the light is your brush and the model is your muse.
