We are not to justify ourselves. We should not boast and judge ourselves. We should not judge before God does.

Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
1 Corinthians 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

He who has trust in God is obedient. The opposite of trust is doubt. We should honor God first.

Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Romans 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

It is God that corrects the steps of man. We are to work in the way of the Lord and if we walk in the way of the Lord, God will correct our step.

Proverbs 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

A wise man will always want to learn. A will man will always be wise because he listens to correct. If we decide to be holy, He will make us holy because it is God that makes us holy. Let us not judge our hearts because God is greater than our hearts. We should walk in faith, run in faith, and continue in faith.
