Project Lego - Part 2: Eldorado Fortress
I'm back with part two of my Lego adventure. And, it almost ended pretty quickly. 😆 I decided it would be too difficult to sift through boxes of pieces, so I dumped the Legos onto the floor. That's where it almost ended.

Staring at this big, colorful pile I thought, What have I gotten myself into? It was still going to be a nightmare trying to find the pieces I needed. Then I came up with an idea. Maybe it would be easier if I sorted the pieces by color. It would take a while, but I figured it would make the rest of the process much easier. So, I went about doing just that.
The colors I needed for this build were yellow, white, black, and grey. Any color besides those went back into the box. I also set aside the decorative pieces I knew I would need. After a couple of hours, the task was completed.

Nice palette. Now I could finally begin building Eldorado Fortress. As I worked, I lost track of time. When I finally checked my phone, it was midnight. The fortress was only half complete, but I had to get to bed as it was now officially Thanksgiving. Before I ambled off for sleep, I took a picture of my progress.

After some sleep, I went back to building. The last half would surely go quicker than the first. And, it did. In fact, I had time to build a little watch tower that was a part of this same Lego world. I was happy with the results...

Building these brought back a lot of fond memories. I'm looking forward to building the next set. I'm thinking it will be the Black Monarch's Castle, which is the biggest set I have. So, stay tuned for part 3 of my Lego project. Thanks for reading.

Nice work rebuilding the fortress! Great idea to sort the blocks by color so you could get to the fun part of building faster.
I was looking online and there's someone selling this set for $350 on ebay! 😱
Your set makes me wish there was a life-size Lego Land replica to visit so I could climb the turrets and battle it out against invading forces.
$350? 🤑
And I have confirmed that the cannons actually fire! And pretty far, too!
😻 Awesome!!!!
