MOTHERHOOD: A SWEET/BITTER EXPERIENCE

Hello Hivers, I am a Mom of two adorable girls and I am glad I can tell the world my experience in this motherhood journey. Though it is my first post in this community, I appreciate the efforts of @victoriaabsb and other team members for the privilege to be here.

Okay, my experience thus far in this motherhood journey is of mixed feelings. Sometimes, it could be all joy and at other times, frustrating as children could be all fun to be with and other times so annoying because of their tantrums here and there. They could get you worked up with their childish and innocent attitude. Nevertheless, it is a thing of joy to be called a mother. So, we bear the pain and share the joy.

I have had a good side of motherhood and the frustrating aspects also, but I am glad I have these bundles of joy in my world.

Please read a part of my story below, perhaps you can relate or object if you have opposing views. I will be glad to hear and learn from you all, as we live to learn and learn to live.

As a parent, it is essential to plan, manage, and handle your role prayerfully for successful and desirable outcomes. Failing to identify your role as a parent can lead to societal problems. Therefore, the responsibility of training a child should not be taken lightly as it directly affects the society we live in. The importance of intentional parenting cannot be overemphasized, and it is necessary that parents consciously groom their children to fit into the society we live in.

Meet my adorable kids

During a particular evening, I insisted that everyone in my household should watch Dove station, which is a Christian station. My daughter, Abigail, was not happy about it, but I stood my ground. However, she later called me out for not paying attention to the program because I was busy with my phone. Her firmness and audacity in calling me out made me realize that children learn by imitation and not just by what their parents say. Therefore, parents must lead by example, and whatever they want to see in their children must be seen in them.

To raise well-groomed children, parents must teach them to say no to anything they are not comfortable with, be open to their parents, and be content with godliness. Parents must also instill morals and values in their children and train them in the way of the Lord. By doing this, we can raise children who will be the light of the world and contribute positively to society.

In conclusion, intentional parenting is necessary for building a better society, and parents must take their role seriously. We must be determined to raise children who will make a positive impact on the world.
