INDOCTRINATION SESSION DAY NINE (9).

Thanks be to God for the privilege given to me to participate in today's teaching. May his name be praised.
We were taught of the benefits of gathering with brethren in the church of God. Hebrew 10:24_25, admonished us to consider and observe one another, to provoke unto love and to good work. The bible has commanded brethren to consider one another. Our purpose for gathering is to care for each other and show concern to one another. Book of Matthew says We should watch and pray so we won't fall into temptation. Watching there means observing. That means,it is our duty to observe fellow brethren during the gathering. This will enable us to know when a brother is in need. Gathering in the church of God is also for the purpose of showing love to each other. The bible say that we should exalt one another. Gathering should be for both the poor and rich. There is always joy in our hearts when we gather. 2 John,1:12 Saint Paul told the brethren that he will come to see them face to face so that their joy may be full.

WHAT DO WE DO WHEN WE GATHER.
Acts 20:7, Every first day of the week, the brethren gathered and saint Paul preached unto them till midnight. This means that our reason for gathering is to study the word of God. We were taught to devout time in studying the word of God.

Another doctrine We observed this day is the doctrine of singing. 1 Corinthians 14:26, when we come together, every one of us has Psalms. This is the reason why the church of God sings in all our gathering. Taking time to sing and praise God. Singing is very important and brings joy to the heart. We sing for everything. Singing for our parents, children and even friends. But singing to God is a commandment. Before the earth was created, Angels and 24 elders were already singing to God. Revelation 7:11_12, made us to understand that a voice of many angels sang to God and the number is ten thousand times ten thousand. These many angels were praising God. Revelation 5:9 said that they Sang a new song. Even God himself sings and Jesus too.

In conclusion, I learnt that we should admonish one another with Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. Singing with grace in our hearts to the lord. The bible says, let us offer sacrifices of praise continually. Using our lips to glorify him. The book of Psalms 92:1 says, it is good to praise God. While singing, We will be delivered from evil spirit. May God give us the grace to always sing unto him.
