Loan Players That Will KILL It This Season!
Francisco Trincao
PSG aren't the only beneficiaries of Barcelona's financial issues this summer. Leeds have snapped up Junior Furpo. Niece of nab sean claire to debo and wolves of lo and Francisco Trincao the portuguese winger who joined the blau grana for a massive 28 million pounds just a year ago. Formerly of Braga the 21 year old broke out in 2019-20 with 16 goal involvements in 27 league and nosh games. He found game time less readily available in Catalonia, he impressed when he played bagging a goal or assist every 137 minutes.
A creative spark that wolves have been crying out for. With him out last season only Fabio Silva took over 2.5 shots a game. The youngster also led the squad in touches inside the opposition's box on 5.9 per 90. Fortunately, Trincao excels in both regards taking three attempts on goal per 90 and receiving possession in the area seven times, as well as completing three dribbles which should rank behind only a dharma trial ray. With an option to buy set at a reported 25 million pounds, wolves can test out the winger at virtually zero risk making this one an absolute no-brainer.
Joshua Zirkzee
A rough summer for Anderlecht has seen him lose key midfielder Alberta conga to Arsenal, as well as striker Lucas Metcher. Previously on loan from manchester city. Metro backed 21 goals in all competitions for vincent company's team. The only player to top six in the squad, earning a move to wolfsburg in the process.
So, Anderlecht have taken a double swing at filling his boots, bringing in Florentina's Christian kiwame and buying Munich's Joshua Zirzee in a new look attack. Dutchman Zirkzee already off the mark, hitting two goals in his first two league appearances to bring him to seven goal involvements in senior football to date. One every 109 minutes. That's impressive but also indicative of how limited his opportunities have been until now.
While he's impressed when on the field, averaging two shots and a dribble per game. It's shocking that he's played just 23 games as a pro at 20 years old under half the tally of Arsenal's Gabrielle martinelli and a quarter of that of mason greenwood both the same age. However, Anderlecht is sure to give him minutes and with strikers like Jonathan David and Victor Osterman earning big moves off the back of star turns in Belgium in recent years, Zirkzee will hope he's the next to make his name there.
Philip Zinckernagel
it's hard not to feel for Phillips Zinckeenagel, the dane joined Watford in january and helped them win promotion to the premier league only to be left behind this summer. Going out on loan to Nottingham Forest while his teammates enter the top flight. But while the Hornets may not have faith in the 26 year old, his track record suggests he could make the difference for Forrest.
At bodo glimpt, Philip Zinckernagelas was an outstanding inside forward putting together 43 goal involvements in 28 games in 2020 to help the club to their first norwegian title and while he couldn't hit that level at vicarage road he still managed a goal and five assists in 900 minutes. A tally bettered by just three Watford players across the whole season. In fact, no one created more goals for teammates than him.
He ranked first in the squad for key passes and fourth for shots and dribbles. Not bad for someone still adjusting to a notoriously tough league. Four goal contributions in his first five matches in Nottingham suggest Zinckernagel may be finding his feat. Watford have smartly inserted a clause in his loan allowing them to recall him in January. Either way we expect him to end the year with an enhanced reputation.
Emerson
Converted left-back maxwell cornay looks set to leave leon this summer but legon have already secured a solid replacement. Brazilian Emerson arrives on a year-long loan from chelsea at a cost of 450k after just 89 league minutes in 2021, bringing him to the equivalent of just 24 matches since he joined the club in 2018. Essentially costing the blues 900,000 pounds per game. But while he's never settled in London, the 27 year old is a good player who deserves a new start. When he's appeared, he's averaged around three tackles in interceptions a match. Not great but not terrible.
He certainly flew it on the ball completing more than a dribble per game which is pretty good for a fullback as well as playing around four progressive passes per 90 about the same as Bruce James and Ricardo Pereira.
Leon could certainly do with upgrading their defense stats, provide a f breath rated their attack as the best in france last summer by XG. But it was the club's 43 goals conceded that cost them in the league rankings. After two draws and a loss in their opening three games of the season, Leon need to find form quickly to save Leter Petabosh's job. The dutchman will be hoping that Emerson can play his part.
Takefusa Kubo
Japanese international spent last year in the wilderness, making just 10 starts in two lone stints at Villarreal. But this term he's returned to majorca where he spent the 2019-20 season. That year may have ended in relegation but Kubo was a standout performer. Grabbing eight goals and assists in 23 starts at just 18 years old.
Demonstrating his powers with the ball at his feet, completing 2.8 dribbles per 90. The eighth best tally in la liga. That may not be good enough to earn a starting spot at Real Madrid but combined with an average of 19 pressures a game over the last two seasons. A tally in the top 20 of attacking midfielders he certainly has his uses in the final third. Despite being a europa league champion, this season could be make or break for kubo at the very top level.
Billy Gilmour
One of the stars of Norwich's promotion campaign in 2020-21was tottenham loanee oliver skip. Who missed just one game, playing nearly 4,000 minutes as the canaries finished six points clear at the divisions summit. So, when the englishman returned to white hot lane this summer, Daniel Farka needed a top-class replacement and he's taken a chance on chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour.
With just six full nineties for Chelsea, the 20 year old has almost as many international minutes as club ones. But while the team has faulted, the scott has shown himself a leader. Averaging five defensive actions and more passes than anyone else in the squad in this season's opening exchanges not to mention he sustained an impressive 100 dribble success rate.
Norwich may be favourites for relegation but the way they play football is simpatico with the big sides, making them perfect candidates to loan out prodigious young talents too. With Kante now 29 and Georginio approaching 31, Gilmore will be hoping that he can persuade Thomas Tucker to put away his checkbook next summer.
Mishy Bashuayi
With three different champions in the last three seasons, the turkish league is more open than ever before but beshiktas are bidding to retain the title this year. Paying chelsea 150,000 euros for the services of Mishy Bashayi to lead their attack. The Belgian still just 27 has now been a blues player for five years but this is his fifth loan across four divisions.
The strange thing is that Batshuayi has generally been a consistent scorer wherever he's gone. Averaging a goal contribution every 153 minutes during his travels as well as a healthy three shots a game. The forward also boasts experience under top managers having featured for Marcelino's Valencia and Marcelo bielsa at Marseilles where he netted 17 in league play in 2015-16 announcing himself to the rest of the continent.
Turkey is famously kind to strikers with the division's top scorers over the past half decade including Mario Gomez and Baffertinby Gomez. So, he should be able to dominate the competition. It may not be the career he dreamt of but a permanent switch could provide some kind of happy ending to his Chelsea story.
