First of all, vaccination is important for me and my family. In Ukraine, there are a number of routine vaccines that the state provides for children from birth.
The vaccination calendar in Ukraine
Vaccination against 10 dangerous diseases is mandatory:
🔸 whooping cough
🔸 diphtheria
🔸 to hold
🔸 measles
🔸 mumps
🔸 rubella
🔸 tuberculosis
🔸 hemophilic type b infection (HIB infection)
🔸 poliomyelitis
🔸 hepatitis B.
The first vaccine a newborn baby receives in the first days of his life. But sometimes there is no vaccine in maternity hospitals, and then parents have to wait for the vaccine in their medical facility.

There are also optional, recommended vaccinations. These include:
🔸 rotavirus infection (example - Rotarix vaccine)
🔸 chickenpox (Varilrix)
🔸 pneumococcal infection (Prevenar 13 and Synflorix vaccines)
🔸 hepatitis A (Havrix or Twinrix vaccine)
🔸 meningococcal infection (Menaktra)
🔸 influenza (Vaksigrip, Vaksigrip Tetra, GC Flu)
🔸 papillomavirus infection (Cervarix).
My family and I became interested in vaccinating against pneumococcal infection and gave all children the Prevenar 13 vaccine.
⬆️ My middle son keeps a pack of Prevenar 13 vaccine, which we bought and made at the clinic. The price of the vaccine is UAH 1,800. ($ 70)
The vaccine in Ukraine can be made free of charge in a regular clinic with your doctor, or you can enroll in a private clinic and get vaccinated there for money. So that you understand, not everyone in Ukraine has the opportunity to visit private clinics.
Unfortunately, vaccines against meningococcal infection are not yet available in Ukraine, and those parents who have the money and ability to go abroad to vaccinate their child.
To date, vaccination of children against coronavirus infection has become a topical issue. My eldest son was 12 years old, and according to the recommendations, he could already be vaccinated with Pfizer. But I'm not in a hurry yet.
