Crimson Canvass

The dying sunset paints the plains in gold,
Its brushstrokes spreading far as sight beholds,
While dazzling diamonds deck the sky's broad looms
As dusk begins to darken the high domes.
The plains shone fair as polished crystal sea
Now drink the colors poured so lavishly,
Ere night spreads her soft embrace around
And Luna steals into the shadows bound.
Let eyes drink deep of nature's artistry
Ere night her velvet folds draws over me.
The land dreams now in twilight's painted gloam,
Its hues to memory's hidden looms now roam.
