Reflecting on life

Hello Everyone!

It felt like a century since the last time I posted here. And,on those times, I have a lot to reflect upon:

My art

I have thought long and hard if I wanted to pursue doing this. I felt that I am getting older and that, this is getting too childish for me. But making these critters had been a part of me too. I felt so proud and happy that I can create something cute and share it with the world.

I think the reason why I love it so much is that, I get to see the world iMy mindset whenever I create something like these is that of a child- seeing the world for the first time. And I love the feeling of innocence- away from all the things I have to deal with all day.

In my previous posts, I had been telling you guys about all the new tools I bought. I am still learning how to use them and honestly, I have never stopped creating. I intentionally did not document them as I wanted things to turn out the way they are- naturally.

Reading

As you have all known, I have started reading books again and most of the time that I am home these days, I just devour on my books. The stories help me cope up with my work and personal life.

It helped me become more empathic- to see things at the other side of the fence. But most of all, it taught me self respect, self love, self worth- putting me on top of the list.

A few years ago, I would have been guilty writing about putting me first as I have been brainwashed to think and believe that it is called selfishness. But where does self worth and self love end and selfishness starts?

I felt that when I started putting me first, considering what I feel, think and the consequences of my actions are, I felt happy, loved, heard. So here is my take on this: I don't care if its called selfishness. If I can't love and respect me first, why should others do?

Organizing

You guys did not expect me to write anything about it eh? Well, it started with me wanting to buy a planner- weekly, monthly planner just to keep tabs on my shifts, studies and my driving lessons.

I find it easier to write everything now- just like a brain dump so I do not need to remember everything I needed to remember.

I am a notebook planner type of gal so, I do it physically. But yeah, it still scares me that I might lose it so I am gonna be researching how to do it digitally as well.

I think that's about it on my side and, I hope to be posting more of my critters in the next few days.

Keep safe. Remember to always listen to you- you're the main character in your life.
