My teapot house
This piece is made up of airdry clay. I had been making prototypes with this medium before I execute them with polymer clay. That and also, its loads of fun making them.
I started by wrapping a ball of styrofoam ball in a clay.
Here is how it looks when done.
And here is the spout.
Attach the spout to the main body.
So this is how I built the "roof." I initially wanted a normal teapot cover but I was like, why not make an inverted flower instead?
The initial look of the whole teapot.
The petal was first made like this.
I rolled it a bit to look like a petal and put it on top of the pot.
So this is how it looks like without the stalk.
get a green clay and put it on top of the flower.
And this is how it looks like when you're done.
Door, window and everything else.
The door started as something that looks like this.
And I just added the other details.
The window started like this.
I do not think I need to discuss how I was able to arrive on this since they are just snake clay shaped into the grill.
So this is how it looks like with all the details.
I got very ambitious and decided to add a little folliage and plants over here. My original idea was to create critters that would look like they live on this pot.
I started with lumps of clay and used my tools to create details. These are air dry clay and they dry up easily. I
was not able to capture any of the "creation process."
Here's how its going.
On the sides....
done.
And the finished item looks like this. Yeah, until today, I was holding up hope that I will be able to add those critters. But, its been awhile. So here it is.
