Friends of Naturalezasorprendente, I go daily through some sidewalks where private gardens prevail, and one of those days I observed a beautiful pine tree, which caught my attention because of its color, which, more than green, tends to be blue.
This tree reminds me of Christmas at my parents' house when we were young. My brothers, at Christmas time, would go to buy natural Canadian pine trees to sell, and of course ours was a must. The house was dressed for Christmas and with the smell of Scots pine, and the ornaments everything was fantastic. Today, every time I see a natural one, planted and in this country, bearing fruit, I am transported to my youth. Its beauty, the fragrance of its leaves is priceless to me.
My surprise was such that while I was observing it in detail, I realized that a spider had woven this beautiful web. A real work of art. I took advantage of the opportunity and took pictures from several angles, because I was fascinated with the effect it had inside each branch where it passed. This beautiful web has been made by weaving through each leaf and each branch interweaving one with the other. Generally, a spider web of this nature is suspended in the air, for its purposes, such as feeding, trapping its prey.
Weaver spiders usually do this at night, or in the middle of the day. They hide in a corner of the sticky web to wait for their victims. When a butterfly or insect lands, they spring into action, rolling them up in a cocoon-like web and waiting for the time to suck them in. This is how these arachnids work for sustenance.
There were two moments during the day when I went through this garden and there was a lot of sun, it was still the spring season. You can see the light coming in, in some of the photos, as the branches glow and take on sunny tones.

I liked so much this fabric embedded in that pine tree, that I passed by it twice. Just in the month of September, it was still spring time.

This type of fabric is called orbicular fabrics due to their round shape.
Finally, I found an information that could serve as a reference about the importance for science of the components of a spider web thread, the usefulness of orbicular webs in terms of medicinal experiments, I also discovered that each family of spiders has its own types of webs, depending on the type of prey they want to hunt. And one last important fact is that the largest spider web that has been found so far is 25 meters long and is located in Madagascar, as it builds its webs on the sides of the river.
This experience was, for me, something magical. I was first evoking my Christmas at my mother's house when I was just a teenager, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover some orbicular spider webs, which gave the pine a special touch. You can tell that among its branches are hidden many mysteries and stories of intrusive insects that a spider I could not see, waiting patiently to devour them.
